Fingerprinting is not too bad.

I have uploaded a new video showing all 6 colors of the SwitchEasy Nude to YouTube and it is processing now. I also include shots of the Black installed on the iPad. Once processing has completed I will link it here.
psuchonaut, thanks a lot! Which color do you like better: UltraClear or UltraBlack? How transparent is the black: does the Apple logo (and 3G antenna, I think you have wifi only) show? Do fingerprints show on the UltraBlack more than UltraClear?

patp, did you ever snap any photos of the UltraBlack case? Would you mind uploading them, if you did? (I'm especially curious about fingerprints--whether they showed much--and how the Apple logo and the 3G cellular antenna look in the UltraBlack case.) Also, what other cases are you looking at now?

Anyone with an UltraClear case, how's fingerprint accumulation on that case? Does the UltraClear begin to look ultra dirty/smudgy/fingerprint littered?

im sorry i didn't take any pictures. I put everything back into the original packaging once I decided that I was going to return.

the black does show fingerprints. Its a transparent black, almost smoky in color. You can see the Apple logo. Its a high gloss finish and eventually will start to show scratches i would think.

i'm really considering the speck hard candy case. But hesistant as I have heard that this case also scracthes easily.

If it's anything like the candyshell on my iPhone it will scratch like crazy. Great case and I'm still using mine on my iPhone (batwing black) but it does scratch alot!

Looks like they either have low quality molds.....or low quality quality inspectors.

Mine should be in the mailbox when I get home. Hopefully it doesn't look like this.

It's strange, I have all 6 colors of this case and none of them have the problems described in this thread that some are seeing.

I still stand by my choice. For me this is one of the best current cases out there when paired with something like a Waterfield Ultimate Sleeve or Hard Candy Cases Bubble Sleeve.

My newest video showing ALL 6 colors is available now on YouTube by visiting:

It shows still processing so some of you may not be able to access the HD feed, if that is the case simply try back later.

Nice job Rick, thanks a bunch! I ordered the teal yesterday. :D

Thanks for the videos.

My white one finally came in, about to check it out now. As a bonus, my Waterfield Suede Jacket also came in. However, I almost didn't notice it since it came in a package not much bigger than a regular envelope.

I know it was confirmed earlier that the Nude will work with the Apple dock, but I wanted to share some pic of my white nude in the Apple Keyboard dock.

Thanks for the videos! Did accumulated fingerprints show more on the UltraBlack than the UltraClear case? Also, what did you think about the included screen protector: is it antiglare, accumulate fingerprints, make touch-responsiveness/scrolling worse, reduce the quality/crispness of text, produce a rainbow color when iPad is viewed at an angle, etc.?

Mine arrived today. Clear.

It's not perfect...a few small blemishes....which I can live with.

A very little bit frustrated that it doesn't appear to fit with the camera connection kit. This seems like a silly oversight on Switcheasy's part.

I contemplated getting the Exacto knife out and making it fit....but I'm not the patient type and would probably hose it up.

All in all I think it's a nice case for $30. It probably won't be my last case....but it's pretty nice.

Omg that guy has done some serious drugs. I stopped watching after listening to him talk for aprox 20 seconds. Couldn't take anymore.

Sorry for posting that. It was just one of the first videos I saw where someone actually put it in an Apple iPad case. He is pretty slow.

I received my Switcheasy Nude case today in black. I have the clear Nude for my iPhone, and I am equally impressed with this case. Feels nice in the hand, and just the amount of protection I was looking for. Not so worried about it scratching; it's there to protect, and in the end it wouldn't be the end of the world for me to have to replace it at some point.

Very pleased, came with lots of extras, good quality case. Mine has a small blemish on one edge, but nothing worth returning it over.

I think I've settled on my case for the foreseeable future, barring some sort of leather folio purchase.

Thanks for the feedback. Personally I notice the fingerprints more on the UltraBlack but it's nothing major IMO. Can't comment on the screen protector as I have not installed it yet but I will soon and I'll get back to you with my impressions.

I received my SwitchEasy Nude in Fuchsia today. I figured I'd go for a bright color.

The fit seems fine on my 3G iPad -- mine doesn't seem to have the flaws that others have mentioned.

It definitely fits in the Apple Dock, and it also fits in the WaterField Slip Case. I'm very happy about the latter, as that's the way I want to carry it around in my backpack. This way, I won't have to take off the cover just to put it in the slip case. Snug, but that's not a bad thing.

I did succeed in putting on the included screen protector without any bubbles.

I've been using my white nude for the last couple hours and had a couple comments.

- The case only snaps on the sides, so there is a very slight give on the top and bottom. I can see how if the case is even slightly off (i.e. not cut properly), this could cause the squeaking problem some people are reporting. My case fits really well, but I also don't have a 3G.

- My only CON so far (and this is really nit picking) is that the case slides (side to side) when on the stand really easily. This is due to the case being really smooth and the stand.

Like I said it's a really silly CON, but it was something I noticed. Overall the case is really nice and I like how the white goes with the Apple Keyboard Dock.

I really like the case but the movement on the top and bottom bother me. I wonder if I exchange it can they check the fit to make sure it doesn't moves much?

When it's in landscape mode and I'm holding it the right and left sides that my hands grip i can feel the movement. I just feel that this case should fit snug and there should be no movement. Am I being too picky?
The area near the sleep button and the volume buttons is the worse. It moves a lot.

The company has been great to work with so far.

What to do?

jackegd, do you have iPad 3G in the Philippines? Do Smart or Globe provide micro SIM yet; hyou been able to use iPad 3G in the Philippines on a cellular network?

there are some resellers here but not the authorized apple resellers. i got mine from the US (the wifi only). no micro sims. they have been cutting up regular sims and it works.

mine had same marks along the top. did they give you any explanation? I shipped mine back for a refund.

i emailed them and gave them a piece of my mind :). they replied promptly, they didnt give any explanation but they will be sending me a replacement. they did say that this is an isolated case.

So as i promised to some others I finally got around to trying the Screen Protector that comes with this case.

Clarity is really good, I looked at all angles and could not see a rainbow effect. Finger printing is not as bad as the unprotected iPad screen but it does still show (they are pretty easy to wipe off).

The cut on the screen protector is really good, I installed it from the top down and it lined up great. You can see the outline of the screen protector against the glass surface (where it ends) but that is true with all protectors.

I did not take a ton of time putting it on so I got a ton of bubbles in the install but was able to work most of them out. I think if you really take care you can install it with minimal to no bubbles.

To me it seemed like my finger ran across the iPad screen more smoothly without the protector on.

In the end I removed it because I did not want to deal with the bubbles that I still had plus I had a few specks of dust or lint I would have had to work out. I may go back when I have a lot of time to install it and try again but I think (as crazy as it sounds) I may keep a screen protector off my iPad just to retain its natural screen look and feel.

I did not shoot a video for this as I did not think it would be all that interesting watching some guy (me) putting a screen protector on. LOL. :D
