Switcheasy Nude

I LOVE Switcheasy. I owned several cases from them for my 3G & 3GS. But I feel like they dropped the ball on this one. I was hoping to see the CapsuleRebel for the 4. I think I'll wait on it. I have a Grove Bamboo case arriving in a few weeks. :)
 
I was hoping they would release this soon. My main concern is that the plastic will scratch the steel or the back of the iPhone 4. Does anybody know if the plastic is sort of rubberized or if it's just a hard, glossy plastic?
 
wow, very cool. been waiting to see what they would come up with. i'm thinking the white will look nice on the black phone.:eek:

Does the clear nude case scratch easily? I'm talking about the case itself.

I know it's more important that the iphone itself is not scratched but i also think a case full of scratches ruins the look of a pristine iphone.
 
Has anyone gotten a shipping confirmation yet? I'm probably guessing it's going to ship tomorrow. I never ordered from them before, so I'm not sure how long they process the order and ship it. I would love to have this by the weekend, but I doubt it. I can't wait to receive mine though! Excited. :)

Has your clear nude for 3GS suffered from any discoloration?

I love SwitchEasy. I've owned multiple Colors cases and a Vulcan case from them.

However, my Vulcan was a clear one for my iPhone 3GS and within a few days it suffered from discoloration. So the clear plastic would turn a bit yellow-ish. This wasn't that it became dirty or anything (I'm very meticulously clean about my iPhone), in fact I even tried cleaning it with soap.

Thankfully, SwitchEasy customer service is awesome so they sent me a replacement quickly once I told them, but the replacement too suffered from discoloration. I google'd around for a while and learned that this happened with many other people.

So I'm wondering/hoping that this new case is made from a different material that does not suffer from discoloration. I would love to have it in clear, but if it suffers from discoloration, it ultimately ends up looking yellow-ish and it looks kinda nasty.

I'm planning on using one of the two screen protectors included for the back of the phone, wonder how that will work out. I'll let you all know when I get the case

I like Switcheasy cases because they normally come with Dock Adapters so you can use iPod/iPhone docks without removing the case. The new case, named "Nude" looks very nice but does not come with the customary dock adapter. It also does not look like it will offer very good drop protection like some of their 3GS cases such as the Capsule Rebel. I've used a Capsule Rebel on my 3GS for the past year and my phone has survived a few hard surface drops with nary a scratch. I hope they offer some better cases with included dock adapters very soon! Come on Switcheasy, I'd really like to spend my case money on your nomally superior products but I either have to have a dock adapter or buy some lame slider case so I can use my docks.

"In case you're wondering if the new SwitchEasy NUDE for iPhone 4 is compatible with the i4 Apple Dock, it fits, it charges, just remove the new bottom plug from the phone/case and voilá!"

Not really. I'm more excited about the case not messing up my front screen protector like so many other cases. And this case doesn't add hardly anything to the size of the iphone, which to me it's a plus. That's just my preference.

With this case would the Power Support Crystal SP be enough protection for the front or would i need a better SP?

I'm not familiar with Power Support, so I can't answer that as a fact, but I've heard that it's very similar to BestSkinEver or IS. It probably comes down to a matter of preference, and I prefer the Invisible Shield personally.
 
Just placed my order for a black one :)

I was hoping Switcheasy would come out with the Nude first because IMO the CapsuleRebel stuff is ugly as HELL. No way I'm putting a ribcage design on top of an industrial design.

I'm also extremely excited about the new iPhone 4 screen shields (for free!) because they haven't even released them seperately yet.

Can't wait!! :D
 
This is exactly what I was looking for. It has the right features and the right price and the right looks. And its in stock. Just ordered the white one....
 
My clear nude for the 3GS never discolored! It did peal a little bit towards the end......It didn't seem to scratch very easy IMO!!
