No where in that post does he talk about testing Data and Voice at the same time. Wow, you obviously are just grasping for straws.

You need to work on your reading comprehension. Here I'll make it easy

I have spent the last 24 hours using my prepaid VZW SIM card in my gsm unlocked iPhone X. This is the intel version with no CDMA. I wanted to share my experience as this is a fair use case considering that this will be the future of the network and not relying on CDMA once it gets shut down.

First, I want to share a disclaimer. As always if you want to try yourself, YMMV since this phone doesn’t not have CDMA fall back. It also would require your account and sim to be activated already before you put it into your X. I had an unlocked 6s on the account before. MyVerizon web portal responds well when I have the sim in the X. It does act fickle when going through the actual MyVerizon app(understandably imo).

Once I put my sim into my X, it found the network right away and showed signal bars and registration. To be sure, I rebooted the phone and all was still well after. Everything with my number registered via iMessage and FaceTime with no issues. Data service activated promptly and I was running speed tests at great speeds. Heck, even WiFi calling activated. I haven’t been able to test that yet because I can’t get it to auto trigger since I have good VZW service at my house.

After verifying data service, I then proceeded to make some calls. I’m not much of a talker so I just made calls to some customer service numbers, but the calls held up over VoLTE. I even verified data works while on the call!

Last but not least, Intel field test mode works while on VZW! I can see alllllllll the stats of bands, carrier aggregation, and bandwidth!

TL;DR - everything works, minus cdma calling.

Recently switched from AT&T (after 8 years) to Verizon. Verizon rep on the phone and their website insisted that my AT&T iPhone X would work just fine. I know it would not because it would only work on LTE, nothing else. So I just got a new X through them and sold my AT&T phone. I actually get service in my house now without WIFI calling.

Will say, Verizon customer service (why I left initially man years back) is still the WORST. Coverage is the best in my area.
