You can easily unfreeze your credit report for any amount of time you wish. Only takes a few moments.
If you call easily having to pay $30 to unfreeze ($10 for each of the 3 credit companies)and pay again to refreeze if a temporary unlock is not offered than yes that can be done but it still costs to do so..

You can pay these off early when it’s bogo? I thought we’re locked in for 24 months, unless you want to pay off the other phone as well?
Just as with any other service, you have to wait until the credit hits your account. ( Generally in the form of a card that you can apply to the device. Calling customer service to apply the total has been the best way) Though it takes a few weeks (6 - 8 weeks) they have been efficient and hassle free. Then you can pay off the device. I am sure it would work the other way around, pay the amount sans the credit if you wanted.

It is true. I live in the US. and it only cost me the amount stated each time with the credit bureau.
Pointless to argue on this I know what it cost me - my question is Can I just buy the phone from Tmobile or not. Please stay on topic

God forbid we should get off topic but the fees vary by state and age and whether you are a victim of identity theft so you were both right!

I'm in the black Friday deal for the iPhone 7 currently. If upgrade phones I'll be leaving $160+ dollars on the table.

I'm tired of upgrading, and I'm tired of these deals T-Mobile keeps coming up with primarily for "new" customers.

I'm going to try to keep my iPhone 7 for at least another few years.

T-Mobile today announced a new iPhone offer for customers thinking about purchasing one of Apple's latest smartphones. Following a BOGO deal from January, T-Mobile is now offering customers the chance to get a $200 rebate when purchasing the iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus, 7, or 7 Plus on a 24-month Equipment Installment Plan, received in the form of a prepaid MasterCard card. That's in addition to the value of an eligible smartphone that users can trade in to T-Mobile.

The company said that customers can combine this deal with its current free line offer from Valentine's Day, letting them add a line to any T-Mobile ONE family plan and get another for free. T-Mobile's new offer will go live this Friday, February 23, and customers who purchase an eligible iPhone should see their rebate card arrive in the mail within eight weeks. Full details on the new deal can be found on T-Mobile's website, and the carrier is still running its BOGO iPhone sale as well.

Additionally, another deal is launching this Friday at T-Mobile, this one focusing on the Apple Watch Series 3. Anyone who purchases a model of Apple's latest smartwatch will be able to get another one for 50 percent off (up to $215, according to T-Mobile). The company didn't release any more details about the Apple Watch sale yet, so it's unclear which models and collections will be available for the BOGO deal. Once the sale goes live this Friday, we'll update this post with more information.

[doublepost=1519268623][/doublepost]As some one who had at&t and switched to T-mobile the first of February I will never look back. T mobile was recently voted the number one service and the network doesn't suck at all as I get service all over. Competition will say otherwise obviously to benefit for themselves I work in Oyster Bay Ny and we are consistently switching customers over who are saving money and getting better service. T-mobile rocks!!

If I’m going to be locked into a two year contract, I should be getting a bigger discount than just a $200 gift card.
The alternative is to be locked into a 2 year contract and no rebate with another carrier.

Good deal for customers who are on the budget. T-Mobile is only good in metropolitan cities, not other areas. Their signal penetration is unbelievably horrible and the coverage is narrower than Verizon. Cheap price but with a lot inconveniences and hidden signal problems. Fortunate for those including myself who do not have to deal with T-Mobile and weak or no signals in buildings, basement and any type of buildings and able to have Verizon the best carrier with the widest coverage on the USA.

There are no coverage issues. There are speed issues. Too many people on the network due to the million mvno using their network. I rarely use data but when I do, it is very slow almost always unless it is late at night. Switching next month.

I think T-Mobile believes this deal is the alternative for those that don’t want to port-in an additional line. Thanks, but no thanks.

No it's not. Porting in is a condition of the deal.
[doublepost=1519303381][/doublepost]Can someone find anywhere on their website where it says the device traded in has to be undamaged? I don't even see a line here that says it has to be functional.

Also, requiring a port in for two promos in a row is a great way to get me to port out.

Does TMobile still require the insane $300 deposit on the iPhone X ? Where you can get a brand new Note 8, or LG V30+ or iPhone 8 Plus for zero down with them, it's only the X they want this heavy deposit.

ATT, Verizon, and Sprint don't demand $300 down to get the iPhone X.

That is pure BS. You are describing T-Mobile of 10 years ago. T-Mobile’s coverage today is on par with AT&T, and their speed beats both AT&T and Verizon. If you travel internationally, T-Mobile is your only choice to have great coverage and good data speeds. In Canada, T-Mobile coverage and data speeds are unbelievable and cost you nothing extra at all. No US carrier can beat T-Mobile’s international coverage.

The problem is T- Mobile has lousy coverage compared to At&t and Verizon
Not true anymore.

Did you bring your phone over or just get a new one from T-Mobile?

I actually tried switching to them last night but they still haven't ported over my cell number to the new sim card.

Okay, for the life of me, I cannot find any indication in the link the article provided that T-Mobile is offering the $200 rebate for anything other than the iPhone X. The only deal it's showing regarding other phones is a buy one get one (iPhone 8) free deal. Am I missing something?

I agree. T-Mobile has not given offers or deals for the current loyal customers that have paid them years of paying each month on time. Makes it questionable if one should stay loyal to them.

Here here!!
[doublepost=1519338394][/doublepost]I would be interested in upgrading all 6 of my phones on our account. Yet, T-Mobile when will you reward your loyal customer? All of your offers do not fit the customers with filled accounts & pay on time each month for years. I am getting tired of all the deals only to obtain more customers. How about trying to keep to ones you have.
Who is truly tired of being a loyal customer & not getting anything for it?

I'm not the individual to whom you originally replied, and I agree with you on the international coverage, but he was totally right otherwise. I just switched from ATT to T Mobile a few months ago...Love saving 90 bucks per months with unlimited everything, but T Mobile simply can't compete with ATT's coverage. Maybe where you live it's great, but where I live (Silicone Valley), places where I once had signal with ATT, I don't anymore with T Mobile. It's okay though, 95% of the time I'm good, and that's more than sufficient to justify the savings. Cheers.
