PSA: seems like some good news?

I'm surprised the number is only 1% when two of the plans on the migration list, at least according to the MR article and a few others, are still actively available (Magenta and Magenta 55+). Had that many Magenta and Magenta 55+ customers already moved to a different plan?

1% of Tmobile customers is over a million people. Sounds more like the company is trying to downplay the situation and is going ahead with the same plan that was leaked. Those are old plans, so it is likely 1% is everyone on those plans.
Nothing happened here. Still on the one plan🤷‍♂️

Guess it's yet another blew out of proportion event? I didn't receive any communication from T-Mobile yesterday.

I'm also on the Simple Choice North America 10GB plan with 4 lines. Have been since 2015. No communication from T-Mobile and it's still listed as my plan.

I'm on the Simple Choice North America 10GB with 5 lines and so far nothing.
I have heard people on similar SCNA plans were not affected, which is... interesting. I suspect this is still a testing ground for future migrations, but I'll just take this as a reprieve until I'm able to find a better option.

This certainly is good news.

I was very concerned. I'm on an older T-Mobile plan that is ridiculously inexpensive. I pay $116 a month for unlimited everything on 5 iPhones and 2 Apple watches with data.

Given how inexpensive it is, I have to believe they are coming for plans like mine, and I will end up being one of the 1%.

Trust me, I'll be watching closely for any messaging from T-Mobile.

Maybe they heard the outrage all over the internet and cancelled this dumb plan.

What they should have done (and still can do) is identify plans that they don't want to continue and advise those customers that the plan will be obsolete as of some date in the future (say, 4-6 months away) and tell them how to pick a new plan. And offer some kind of bonus for switching, such as a year of Paramount+ or a free watch line.

"Faced with severe customer blowback, T-Mobile - said Wednesday that the company is officially burying a program that would have forced customers into migrating to more expensive plans. "

People have spoken… the company has listened… for now. I for one actually sent Mike Sievert an email to his office and discussed the matter with someone on the executive team for a half an hour last week. They said they would take my thoughts into account. I’m glad they backpedaled. One small victory for the customers.
