T-Mobile.com preorder thread

Finally got it this morning!

I got a text this morning saying my T-Mobile device had shipped. I assumed it was my Cellspot because there's already a label for that in UPS. However, when I check my order status for my iPhone (6+ 64gb sg), it says shipped. It doesn't have a tracking number on the order page, but the text had a tracking number, and that number is different than the one for the Cellspot.

When I plug the new number into UPS, nothing comes up. And of course I'm about to leave to go camping for the weekend where I won't have internet, so I have no clue when it will arrive, and since the label isn't available online yet, I can't pre-sign for it. Le sigh.

I finally got my two iPhone 6 plus what an adventure that was.
They came in a bubble white envelope both of the boxes were dinged up.

I spoke to tmobile and it is prepared for shipping for Monday. Should have it Wednesday or Thursday. 🙂

TMobile Chat rep just told me my order is scheduled for delivery September 25. He would not confirm nor deny that I received the Friday delivery text message in error, but said it was system generated and sent to all customers.

I'll get used to the size. If the 6 would have had a better battery I would have got that.

Same reason i went with the 6+ the better battery life sold me on it! And i have big hands and every phone feels tiny in my hands so hopefully it'll work out just fine. Congrats dude! enjoy your phone!

It is huge and a bit awkward to hold and almost no app actually takes advantage of it, but we surfing it SOOO nice on it. So, I'm almost regretting getting the larger one, but I think I'll get used to it.

Well the phone has been out for a day, so app devs will start taking advantage of it. I remember the letterbox on the 5 when it came out.

So Apple will sell these outright, now? (for full price?) Seems like it used to be they'd only sell them if you had a VZW account and line you were upgrading-- you had to go to a Verizon store to buy them off contract. If so, nice!

Yes, it you manage to find one in a B&M store w/o reserving online.

However, to reserve it online for store pickup, Apple will not allow buying the Verizon device w/o (A) New line, (B) Add a line or (C) Upgrade.

What I did was, open a line with VZW thru Apple.com, and reserved the iPhone 6+ for store pickup. Sure, I signed a contract, but I'll pay the ETF after a month and with all monthly charges + proration, I will still only end up paying the MSRP for the device.

Plus, Verizon devices [ esp now ] fetch a higher resale value since it has the CDMA plus GSM radios enabled.
