T-Mobile.com preorder thread

I called tmo yesterday to cancel. I wake up and have a ups tracking number via text. WTF

However my card hasn't been charged.

Keep canceling guys, it just moves me up the list :)

2x iPhone 6+ SG 64gb. JUMP. Ordered in store at 11am and the other at 3pm PST 9/12. Both have received the 9/22-9/30 email/text.
That was the last word I've heard.

No charges on either, got the preauth a few days ago.

Has anyone with a 64gb+ actually received theirs via a jump upgrade? I've heard nothing at all since Friday.

this morning when i called CS he said that i might receive my phone on the 30th but i don't really trust what he said
its a different answer everything i call.
 
FINALLY GOT MY 6+ 128gig SG and it ******** ROCKS!!

package was heavily damaged though UPS guy threw it on my porch, thanks Tmobile for being a cheapass and putting it in a damn bag instead of box.
 
trying to cancel my pre-order, and it's process is as much of a hassle as waiting for the device itself.

i was ready to cancel my order but as i was leaving to go to tmobile, i go the text with my tracking numver today too.... however, ups cant locate anything with the number i was given... how about you?

i also got a 128gb space grey 6+, along with a 64gb gold 6 (same order)

What I did was, open a line with VZW thru Apple.com, and reserved the iPhone 6+ for store pickup. Sure, I signed a contract, but I'll pay the ETF after a month and with all monthly charges + proration, I will still only end up paying the MSRP for the device.

Plus, Verizon devices [ esp now ] fetch a higher resale value since it has the CDMA plus GSM radios enabled.

Yep-- Verizon model is now the ultimate since it supports all the other GSM bands for US GSM carriers, PLUS Verizon's CDMA stuff.

Question (maybe you do or don't know the answer to this)-- it's been a few years since I've been on a CDMA carrier (Sprint). Back then, there were no SIM cards and the only way to switch devices was by calling the carrier and giving them a number on the hardware (ESN, maybe? Can't remember anymore). That alone locked those devices to one carrier. Is this all handled by SIM card now since LTE uses it?

then why do you keep calling? what has it gotten you? people make no sense.
 
I called T-Moible after it was delivered and asked for a customer service manager. I ran down everything I went through and he issued a $70 credit to my account. That was nice of him.

I've never used an Android phone so I'm not used to big phones. This is going to take some getting used to.

Yup. The TMobile and AT&T versions are identical to the Verizon one. The only difference is the CDMA radio is disabled in the GSM versions.

There is a thread here that someone put their active iPhone 5s SIM into the TMO unlocked iPhone 6 and CDMA radios worked. He could place calls and browse the internet. They are the same phones.
 
Exec called me again, and take this with a grain of salt, but she also said that the orders depended on area also. (base on this thread it seems like this is trueish), and she said I should receive my phone by Monday, Tuesday at the latest. So i'm just going to wait till Wednesday and continue wondering where my phone is. :rolleyes:

Thanks for the tidbit - every little piece of the puzzle helps now, I guess :)

I wish I could get someone from that exec team to call me - all I get are rather generic answers.

Hey, did you guys know that I can check the tmobile order status page to find out more about my order?! (that's about the level of communication I'm getting these days) :mad:
