As much as I want one, I still have 15 months left of contract, think I'll wait till the next new iPhone. The 5 isn't going to be outdated anytime soon!
There might be an iPad event in October... and that might be when they talk about new Macs too.

Taking into account, Apple likes to kinda hold events around another competitors launch events. Windows 8 will be available on the 18th of October. Its possible Apple might have an invent around that period either before or after.

its all coming together. Just like every single year. How predictable, yet Apple still saves some of the goodies for the event that are kept under wraps. Can't wait!
To all of you have absolutely need to have every single model of iPhone. Why do you do something with your life.
Isn't it the other way around? Competitors trying to guess the date of Apple's next event and setting theirs around it?
If I'm understanding you correctly...That was very premature assumption you made...Maybe they have done something with their lives and this how they can afford every single iPhone model.
This'll be a big one for Apple as it is the first major project launch without Steve Jobs reviewing the script. Very curious to see how Tim and company will address this. IMO, this will help define the post-Jobs Apple.
Steve always had a product centric and pragmatic approach. So far, they have not done the "One more thing ..." ending like I was expecting at WWDC this summer. Now, I don't think they ever will.

Yes. In the past, Google and Samsung have scheduled events after Apple sent invitations for theirs.
As for an October event: I could be wrong, but I don't think they'll go that close together and not go for the same day. Historically, they've grouped announcements together.
I think iPhone and iPad, and a few very small updates for other lines, all on 9/10. I just think it is interesting that there isn't much talk on iPads. I'm expecting slight spec bumps, but nothing too novel.
T-Mobile employee blackout? Maybe needed for ATT or Verizon, but T-Mobile, does anyone think that's a necessity?

We are. It's call leading the crowd. Not all of us are fanboys here. Many of us are developers and grab every model out there for application and accessory development.
My mother's boss, may they both rest in peace, started his business out of the trunk of his car and grew it into 3 plants in two states. It afforded him the ability to purchase a new Lincoln Continental luxury car every year. My mother purchased a couple of his hand-me-downs over the course of her working with him for so many years. I bet the auto-workers who put the car together were appreciative of his yearly purchase!
Why do you think one shouldn't purchase the latest and greatest every years be it cars or iPhones, if they have the means?

As they do not offer subsidies (even if those do not save one a dime, but people want to be fooled), the "5C" (if that's the name) might be a bigger event for them.
release an iPhone 6 and 6c? What about the year after? 6s and 6cs?
The naming can quickly get stupid. I can imagine them getting by with 5S and 5C, but maybe at one point they'll simplify to something like "iPhone" and "iPhone colour", similar to "iPad" and "iPad mini".

Ever since Vodafone NZ botched the iPhone 3GS launch (and technically the first release in the world due to time zones) , we are always the 2nd / 3rd / 4th wave of launches.

Its hard with cases, since the chamfer of the gold iPhone will be the nicest part. (would assume so anyway).
But theres no point having a case if the chamfer is exposed.

Why wouldn't it be? iPhone 5 has already become their best selling smartphone. I'm sure they expect the iPhone 5S to be big for them as well just like all the other carriers.
