We were supposed to have delivery by 4:15... Had tickets and had to leave at 4:30. Delivery was attempted at 6PM. Left a note to bring to neighbor for signature but they are no longer allowed to that according to the note I was left... guess we are playing the waiting game again today.
Says back ordered and shipping Oct 4th. It’s not Oct 4th so what’s to update?
Usually the dates are very conservative and the phones move earlier. Wondering on this is no different than people watching for their phones on launch day, except there are far fewer of us.
Do people think they are getting a deal when they have to pay more for a plan to get an iPhone on us?

I hope you receive it next week. I've never had a phone arrive on anything but launch day. I keep seeing stories that sales are behind last year. T Mobile site yesterday showed them in stock, but an agent told me that is not correct.
Normally I try and pre-order but I wasn’t able to do that this year
Wife loves her 16PM and loves the TMO carrier deal.
OTOH I don't like carrier deals, so I got mine thru Apple and ordered with TMO activated since I had TMO for over 10 years.
Then today I got the itch to switch carriers and moved to Visible for $15/month.
Loving the Verizon towers where I work in signal absent rooms...

This is the first time I've not seen dates move up rapidly. I wonder what is causing the delay.
Does Apple produce an equal number of phones to start? Or, is white the most popular Pro Max colour this year? Looking at the T Mobile phone page for the Pro Max, three are listed as shipping 9-15 October while white is 16-30 October.
