How's the stock looking in T-Mobile stores? I'm on the market for an iPhone 6S Space Grey 64GB and wondering whether I should bother walking in to pick one up.

I would call T-Mobile first and get a status. If they can't provide you with a status, then I would just go to the Apple store (if you still have the original phone). This really should have been your first choice.
Game them a call and it's more complicated than I thought. Since I'm on JoD, they can't do a straight swap. I have to send in the defective one first before they send me the new one. Guess it's a trip to the Apple store then...

Where I live not a single store has any 64gb phones available. I had to place an order in store for a 6s sg 64gb. I ordered Friday and they were trying to get the order in before 5 so I could get it Monday. Didn't get the order in on time and it now says it should ship on or before the 30th.

Since i had no luck exchanging my iphone 6s from tmobile. I called apple and they agreed to replace my phone. Tmobile just pisses me off. Let me know what will happen at apple store.

Btw, what is wrong to your iPhone's screen?

Noo!! It changed again!! From10/2-10/9 to 10/5-10/12 still not bad I just hope it doesn't change again unless it's to a closer date!!
Those were the dates I had when I checked this morning if yours have changed I'm scared to go check mine again

I've been with them for years. This is horrible. If I knew this would be like this I would have gone with silver or gold. I'm going to have a case majority of the time anyways. Smh my first time preordering and it sucks!!!!!
My sentiments exactly! Something told me to get Gold it was readily available too

Got a question for you guys. I initiated a replacement for my 6S because of a screen defect through T-Mobile on Friday(received it that day). Thus far, the only confirmation of a pending exchange I've received from them is a return label that was emailed to me on Friday. Other than that, I'm in the dark. Should have gone to the Apple store instead? Do I need to call tmo again and see what the holdup is?

I agree. I've never had much luck with carriers. I go to Apple for manufacturer defects. That's usually a simple process for me.

Just spoke to a T-Mobile rep. She said it's not their fault on the backorder...Blame :apple:

Look for delivery date first week in November!

I'm not blaming tmobile for the back order. I'm blaming them for lying. Telling me things that are not true. Assuring me something that they obviously can't do. Tell me the right thing first and it wouldn't be a problem.

Depends on where you live, my area never carries any iPhones over 16GB. So I buy online, it's a time to wait for shipping, but it'll save time and hassle. You can always call around your local stores though.

Make sure that once you get the replacement from Apple that you call T-Mobile and give them the IMEI from the new phone. If you don't and try to swap the phone using JOD, they'll charge you a fee because you're not returning the exact same phone that T-Mobile gave you.

I understand that. 09/12 was my birthday and I was promised 25th. I think if they'd said "May be up to a week to receive device.", I would of still bought it and happy waited. Don't say what you think I want to hear, say what you know is the truth. If you aren't sure, tell me that. Don't promise and swear like it's a fact, then be utterly wrong. =/

I agree and Happy Belated Birthday!

A little background. Got 2 iPhone 6S Gold. One 128GB and one 64GB. Both arrived on September 25. The 128GB is for me. Opened it, using it since Friday, all going well. The 64GB is still in the shipping pouch. This is for another family member.

Now, this family member was thinking about changing the phone for a Rose Gold. What are the options? I went to a T-Mobile store to inquire and they told me I would have to call the T-Mobile ordering phone number, ship the phone back, and that the iPhone 6s Rose Gold has a 6 to 8 week back order. Any other ideas or suggestions?

I'm there too. I kept trying out the watch in stores or reading reviews but I'm not a watch person. This watch really didn't seem as intuitive as I'd liked. The haptic tapping on my wrist just annoyed me within seconds. No speaker or voice for GPS? Yeah, I know, I'm weird. I'd rather hear directions than risk being distracted in San Antonio traffic....

Yeah I'm finicky, the watch isn't for everyone I guess. Haha.

Oh man I'm anxious. My phone, ah I'm really looking forward to tomorrow... Then suddenly they lose it or something. Lmao!

Lmao lets hope that doesn't happen

I've been told that they're prioritizing shipment over in store stock. I have no idea if that's true or not. When I was in line to return my previous devices the person in front of my ordered a rose gold and a space grey in the 64gb variety. Space gray was quoted two week. Rose gold 6-8.

You're best bet is to give the store(s) you plan to visit a call beforehand. They may not give you stock numbers but they should at least be able to say whether they have some for immediate purchase.

You better off keeping it!! T-mobile says 6-8weeks but those numbers has been changing a lot, they keep pushing those dates back!

From the post I've ready you're suppose to use the new sim as it is updated and optimized to go with the new phone. When I get new phones I take my sim to T-Mobile so they can transfer the data from the old one to the new one

That's weird: I called T-Mobile and the rep told me it wasn't a "must" to change SIM card, that the old one should work perfect

Thank you everyone for the responses! I will call around and find out :) Sounds like a long shot, though.

Took out the SIM from my 6 Plus that I put in the 6s, activated the SIM that came with the phone, and everything is up and running now. The phone made me fall in love with iPhone again. Everything is butter. Such an amazing experience coming from my 6 Plus.

Not saying anyone would but perhaps the picture with your IMEI and serial number, they should be hidden/removed. People can use them to clone on blacklisted devices. =(

Its got a bluish tinge at the bottom left side of it. Very noticeable when looking at content with a white background...which is pretty much everything.

Good to know. Thanks for the tip.

Some are over sold on the value of the new sim. If we look back over the thread we will see many who place more importance on the sim than is warranted.

A sim will not determine your signal strength.
A sim will not allow you to use one band over another.
A sim most likely will not have any data on it. One may store contacts on it but you should not as that method is legacy.
A sim is not for one model of phone. T-Mobile only sells (or provides) one sim. Yes different sizes but all sims are designed to be interchangeable in the same size.

SO: If you want to take the time to go to My T-Mobile and change your sim to the one that comes with your new phone you can.

If you want to take a trip to the store and have them do it- you can.

If you don't want to bother with any of that and use the sim from your old phone (if it is the correct size) you can.

In the end it will all be the same.

I pretty much figured that, I knew it wasn't no advantage!! Thanks for the info though much appreciated
