Haha I feel ya man. I actually preordered a Silver 6s Plus on 9/12, received it 9/25, and had it replaced under warranty last week due to a defect. Then I decided I really wanted SG, so I returned the replacement to T-Mo.

Between the Samsung vs. TMSC debacle and screen imperfections, I'm relatively OK with waiting, if only because Apple typically works out first-run issues in subsequent manufacturing runs.

(See these threads on the screen issues if you dare...)

I'm a member on Modmyi.com and they listed an app called Lirum Device Info Lite - System Monitor that will list what chip your phone have. If the application shows a model number N66AP (in the iPhone 6s Plus) or N71AP (in the iPhone 6s), then you have the Samsung A9 chip. If the application shows a model number N66MAP (in the iPhone 6s Plus) or N71MAP (in the iPhone 6s), then you have the TSMC A9 chip. I have the TSMC chip in mine. There is a debate about which chip is faster.

From what I've read, the concern is far less on speed and more on battery life. Both chips are clocked at the same MHz, but one has been up to 20% less efficient in the battery life department.

The "tests" showing these results, however, are widely variable. I *highly* doubt performance is significantly different, although I suspect Anandtech will address it in its upcoming review since they reported the difference in chip.

I'm not worried about the speed, more so about the battery life.
