Try here at Walmart. Looks like you can get new ones under the TMobile Prepay kit for $549.

Thanks for the reply, kmichalec. I was at the Walmart website a lot yesterday & the only iPhone-5's (plural) w/prepaid plans that I saw were for StraightTalk & Net-10.

Did you mean, check a local Walmart store? (vs their website)?

I'm also looking for 64gb only in the iphone-5 (current 3Gs @32gb is maxed out). :)

UPDATE:
I found what you meant, direct link:
http://see.walmart.com/t-mobile/

But, sadly, the four iphone-5 models they show are all only 16gb: *:(

So thanks anyway!

I'm SO sorry! I can't believe I forgot to include the link in my post yesterday! That's the link I was going to provide, but if you are looking for a 64GB, then you're right, Walmart won't work. Good luck in your search!

You'd be better off buying on CL an iPhone 5 with applecare+ and then take it in for replacement if you really want a brand new phone. You'll be out only another $50 on top of the phone. So assuming you get the phone for $500 you can pay the $50 to get a replacement and still end up at $550.

You can just get a new replacement for 50 bucks no questions asked? No defect necessary?

Hey, no problem, kmichalec! I found it easy enough, & your assistance was/is appreciated. ;)

Applecare+ replacement for the iPhone is $79.

I'm loving T-Mobile! Can't go wrong for $30 a month with unlimited data (5 GB at LTE/HSPA+), unlimited texting/picture messaging, and 100 minutes.

I hope vegas will be among the first. This is on 10x10

T-Mobile is fantastic.
Had been with ATT since iPhone 2G launch (was with Sprint before that because of their abundance of Windows Mobile phones).

Walked into an ATT (ATT Owned Not Franchise) store 3 weeks ago and inquired about opening up a 5 line business account all with unlimited talk/text/web and new iPhones. First I had to get a rep and they seem super annoyed. The rep told me to go to the website, walked away, sat down behind a desk, and proceeded to play on their phone.

Walked into T-Mobile, was greater by a rep who was more than happy walking me through the process of getting the business account setup and did so very quickly.

Lets just say I have canceled all my accounts (business and personal) with ATT and won't be going back.

Only downside to T-Mobile is that I have never gotten "full" signal even though according to their coverage map I am in a place that has perfect coverage. Also if I am streaming and I go between LTE and 4G(3.5G) my stream kicks out.

Visited family in the DFW area: NW Plano to be more precise. Normally get 10-20 DL on LTE but along/near highways get 50+.

T-Mobile's reception is like this in my area. If I have LTE turned on I get 1 to 2 bars and with LTE off I get FULL bars no matter where I go. I looked into this and when they turned on LTE in my area they only turned it on for 1 tower. My LTE reception gets amazing the closer I get to it and weaker the further I get from it. Very irritating in the sense that I'm literally surrounded between 3 T-Mobile's according to them and yet only 1 seems to have LTE active.

I pre-ordered 2 iphone 5's friday 4/5/2013 but had a credit card issue -- had to re-order them 4/10/2013. They transferred my cancelled order over and shipped my phone 4/11/2013 -- and I received it 24 hours later 4/12. The service was immediate and so was the carrier update.

Straight talk was taking their time porting my phone number over, so they called them with me on the line -- and within 3 minutes I had my phone number ported over.

I'm getting full bars & about HSPA+ 15 mbps at home in San Diego, CA -- where I used to get no more than 2-3 bars with AT&T/simple talk and no more than 2-3 mbps.

In short, I'm extremely happy with my switch back to t-mobile, as I had them 4 years ago with my blackberry. If you have any doubts about their network in SoCal, worry no more!

I used to have T-Mobile, when I lived in San Diego for a while, let me tell you it was horrible for me. Always cutting out, but maybe things have changed. I know a lot of people have Sprint or AT&T out there but I can't stand either one. Also I had T-Mobile when I moved to the Greater Los Angeles area a couple years back and service was the same. So glad I have Verizon now.

Yeah I got similar speeds when I visited Vegas. I think they'll be one of the markets to get 20x20 since MetroPCS had towers out there.

Unfortunately my market is only 5x5 so the max speeds I usually get here hover around 18-20mbps down and Metro had no towers here so I don't think we'll be getting the 20x20 upgrade.

That's 20x20 LTE I believe. It's supposed to be rolling out to the markets where they have Metro PCS towers.

Finally a response from T-Mobile about what they plan to do about the large geographical areas of EDGE on their network.

Seems that their plan is to use the recently acquired 700mhz spectrum from Verizon supplemented by winning some 600mhz spectrum from next year's auctions to fill in the holes. Looks it will boil down to how this auction goes. T-Mobile can't compete with the vast cash piles of Verizon/AT&T so the FCC will have to step in if they hope to acquire any of that 600mhz spectrum. Looks like we will find out next year.

Just switched from Sprint, and I don't regret it at all. Had LTE or 4G everywhere I was, and it was blazing fast. Came back to my school (which is in a rural town) and was expecting 3G, but I had solid 4G everywhere I was, and according to their map I'm suppose to have 3G. So that was a pleasant surprise. All in all, glad I took advantage of the ETF deal.

The low-band spectrum and expanding LTE have nothing to do with each other. Low-band will help building penetration and signal far away from a site, but doing the coverage just requires them to get out there and upgrade sites. They have had the spectrum for years to do it, they just haven't gotten around to actually doing it.
