Doesn't come out until Wednesday so....
My T-Mobile account information was breached for the third or 4th time and I’ve been a customer for 10 years, but I didn't get this offer.
No need for a new subscribtion, just get a (breached) account..Look for the fine print stating once accepted you can’t sue for the data breach. 😂
Apple TV+ for a year is like $60. My personal data is worth a hell of a lot more than that. Let's start off with two years of free service on our T-Mobile bill...
They are giving 2 years of McAfee's service: https://www.t-mobile.com/brand/data-breach-2021/next-stepsHow about a free year of identity protection service now that all of their customers have to be worried about who has their SSNs and driver's licenses?
I agree.. but I can count them all on one hand and the app (which is full of ads for services I dont have) is abysmal (for that very reason).People don't give Apple TV+ a big enough of a chance. They have some really great shows. This is a great value!
That’s basically what US Mobile does. You still technically choose from a list but it’s extremely broad and isn’t partner-billed - they just credit you the relevant amount (you upload proof of sub approx 1 timeI wish T-Mobile would offer a choice of streaming services. $8.99 credit for Magenta and $13.99 credit for Magenta Max that can be used toward services from Amazon, Apple, Disney, Google, and Netflix.
I'll look into this towards the end of the year. My current free Apple TV+ ends in November. We already receive a discount for Netflix via T-Mobile and have Prime TV via our Prime membership. And Apple TV+ has enough programs that we like so we were already thinking about subscribing yearly. This is a no-brainer.
Surprised the editors didn't mention T-Mobile's failed, anemic TVision streaming service that was shutdown after about six months. Subscribers were offered a $10 monthly discount for other streaming services. So not surprised with the ATV+ offer.
You're right. TVision subscribers got some other perk for the cancelled service (IIRC, a free month of YouTube TV -OR- three months free of another subscription service depending on your level of subscription). I remember when I added the in-laws to my account the T-Mobile reps were really pushing TVision. Got to the point that I almost walked out of the store. My father in-law yelled "Stop!" at one rep it got so annoying.FWIW - the $10/mo discount to YouTubeTV wasn't limited to TVision subs.
Fortunately the only time I've ever had to deal with someone in person it was when we ported our two lines over via the kiosk @ Costco, so the third party agent wasn't pitching a bunch of cr@p.You're right. 6 months from now: T-Mobile iCloud users are suggested to change their passwords after T-Mobile server compromises users signed up for AppleTV+.
pretty funny how hackers just stole personal information from 70 million AT&T customers. Guess it’s just no T mobile
The issue really isn't T-Mobile. These data breaches happen in all companies and organizations for one simple reason: there are no criminal or meaningful financial penalties for the incompetence and penny-pinching that leads to the breaches. In the US, laws do not apply to large corporations or wealthy people.
Love AppleTV after a super launch deal I just paid for another year now I can get this deal with T-Mobile awesome.
