i have a new account with 10 lines, does anyone know if one referrer (same email address) be used for all 10 lines to get unlimited LTE? or does it need a separate referrer for each of my lines? thanks.

do not use same referrer for more than one line.
by the rules you can only get one line referred and then you need to start referring other people.

but *it seems* like you can get referrers for all your lines and it will work as long as you have 10 different referrers. this is against their rules but it seems to work

hello all, i just was made aware of this feature with t mobile. im in the process of moving to t mobile from att and would really like to take advantage of this offer for unlimited data. if you would be willing to refer me, I would really appreciate the gesture of good will. seems it will benefit both of us, so please just pm me the needed information. I plan to sign up and start an account with t mobile in the next day or two.

thank you very much!
once you get your postpaid simple choice plan verify you have 1 gig of data, not more
then go to refer a friend website and specify email of your referrer(don't make mistake here, you are specifying your referrer not referee). do not use the same referrer for more than one line

thanks NIKON, I'm afraid i used the same referrer for a few of my lines. is there a way i can go back and change the referrer? so far, one of my lines got approved, but not the others.

Thank you Nikon5400!

so I just use your email during the set up process at t mobile to get you and myself unlimited data?

that's exactly why...
you can try calling refer a friend team number and they may manually fix it for you but I don't know whether everything will work after they do. worst case scenario you going to start referring people

do not call 611 T Mobile customer service about this program. they don't know much about it

You can, just make sure you get your postpaid simple choice first (not starter) and verify you have 1gb of data, not more.

also, could you please remove my email from your post above? thanks

thanks for the info Nikon5400, your email should be removed from my post, sorry for that.

i will be getting the simple choice 1gb 4g lte plan. ill try and get it done tonight after work.

anything else i should know?

thanks again for your help!

Please send me an email at xxx and we can get the process started. Please do not use this email for referral but instead use the phone number that I will provide to you via email.

I have been with T-Mobile for 7 years and have the Simple Choice Plan. This will allow both you and I to receive unlimited LTE data for a year and a $25 GC.

Edit. I see reply above from Nikon5400. If you have already used his email for referral, try using my phone number on a send line, if you have more than one line.

Thanks.

NIKON5400, do you mind if i use your email for one of my other lines? thanks for your help.

Go ahead. But as I mentioned earlier - their rules say you can only have one line referred and then you need to become a referrer. However, I know a few people who got more than one line referred and got their unlimited LTE. Will they get their $30 credit for each line every month without a fight with customer service - time will tell. But since they got their unlimited LTE through refer-a-friend website, I think they qualify. It's either a glitch in the system or refer-a-friend team members are misinformed.

No, just make sure you have 1gb, not more. Some sales ppl add extra services to your account without telling you. If you sign up for refer-a-friend with more than 1gb, your unlimited LTE won't be free, but will cost you $10-20

and then make sure you specify referrer, no referee on the refer-a-friend website (too many people make this mistake and then they cannot get referred - their email is blocked)

FYI, for anyone in the same bind as I am in, i called a program rep, and they said that they can't change referrers.

I know one person who had the same issue and they fixed it for him. However, their fix is only visible in their systems, not on refer-a-friend website. I don't know what exactly the fix is but that person got unlimited and now he hopes credits will come . So, you can try calling again, maybe another rep will help you. just make sure you call refer-a-friend number not customer service
Or just become a referrer (or referee, but again, that's against their rules, but system seems to allow it)

last thing, is this where I would input the email or number to get unlimited data? https://referral.t-mobile.com/

yes

are you sure you're calling the right department? I thought refer-a-friend team works 7-7
here's their number 866-299-8922

This is what I get!

Thank you for contacting the T-Mobile Refer-a-Friend Program, we are happy to help you with your inquiry.

Your referral request is in validation processing. Both you and your friend must remain active and eligible at the time of validation processing. Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing.

:mad::confused::eek::rolleyes:

No, just make sure you have 1gb, not more.

The fine print says: "You'll get unlimited data without paying a penny more than you're paying today. We’ll upgrade your plan, and give you bill credit for the difference between the monthly rate you pay now, and the monthly rate for Simple Choice with unlimited 4G LTE data.".

Are you saying I need to look out for billing problems?

Thanks...!

This is how I read it - let's say you have 1 line with 3gb of data. You are paying $50 for the plan + $10 for extra 2gb. So, "the monthly rate you pay now" is $60

With this unlimited promo they will charge you extra $30 ("monthly rate with unlimited" is $50+30=$80) and then give you back $20 ($60-80("bill credit for the difference between the monthly rate you pay now, and the monthly rate for Simple Choice with unlimited 4G LTE data.")). So, essentially you'll end up paying the same $60, while if you had 1gb you'd end up paying $50 for the same exact plan.

Is that not how you read it?

Oh, I think I see what you mean. Basically, it's the best deal if you only have 1GB, but you won't pay more by getting the referral if you start from a higher data rate; the monthly bill will stay the same, but you'll have unlimited. I think that's right?

I have four 2.5GB lines for $100 (I'm a new customer), so if I get one referred up to unlimited, the others will stay at 2.5GB and I'm still paying $100, I think. I hope so. :)

Correct. If you are paying for more than 1gb today, you want to drop that extra data before signing up for refer-a-friend program.

2.5GB was a promo for 4+ lines, so it's the same deal as 1GB as far as unlimited LTE goes. The only thing I'm not sure about - 2.5GB is set to expire end of 2015 or jan 2016, while unlimited LTE is good for 12 months. I don't know what you'll get once 12 months is over, 2.5gb or 1gb. If 2.5gb is more than enough, but 1gb is not enough, you may want to stick with 2.5gb and not go for unlimited :)

Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification! Seems as though I'm probably in a good plan for what I'm doing, then.

Yeah, I'm not sure where I'll stand in a year. We don't tend to use more than 1gb per line - we all use Wi-Fi most of the time - 2.5gb would be plenty.

My guess is that if I do nothing, after 12 months it'll drop to 2.5gb, then a couple of months after that drop to 1gb per line.

If you're new with T-mobile and need referral, I can refer you. Just pm me, I could surely use some unlimited data for both you and I.

Just became a subscriber to TMobile with the ip6+ yesterday - wouldn't mind getting the unlimited for a year.
