T-Mobile CEO John Legere says T-Mobile customers who own an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or iPhone SE should not install Apple's iOS 10 update, released on Tuesday. According to Legere, iOS 10 is causing those three iPhone models to lose connection to the T-Mobile network.

Legere's comments come following customer complaints that started circulating following T-Mobile's latest carrier update, 25.1. It was initially believed the problem was the carrier update on T-Mobile's end, but Legere says that's not the case.

Apple is working to resolve the issue with iOS10 for @TMobile customers. Don't download iOS10 if you currently use an iPhone 5SE, 6 or 6+ - John Legere (@JohnLegere) September 15, 2016
Apple is working to resolve the problem, but in the meantime, customers should avoid the update. T-Mobile has offered a fix for those who have already updated to iOS 10 and are experiencing connectivity issues -- restart. According to the company, the only way to resume connectivity is to restart the iPhone each time that it loses connection.

Apple is expected to have a fix ready in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Update: According to T-Mobile, Apple has fixed the issue for customers who were experiencing disconnects.

Good news! iOS 10 fix is ready early. Go to Settings > General > Software Update (or > About if you already downloaded) and update away! - T-Mobile📱 (@TMobile) September 16, 2016

A T-Mobile Support document instructs users to go to Settings --> General --> About to install a new carrier update, 25.2.

At first I thought this was absurd, however I can indeed confirm that my mum's iPhone SE (Telekom) has been facing mail and connectivity issues after installing iOS 10.

Interesting... I upgraded my 6S, 6S+, 2 SEs and a 5S to iOS10 with no issues whatsoever on T-Mo. Hope something like this does not flare up for me. Oddly enough, only two of my phones indicated a carrier update which I installed along with the OS.

I'm noticing a fair few freezes on my SE since installing iOS 10, especially when using apps like Telegram and Facebook but occasionally just randomly too... Usual early bugs.

So it's safe for 6s+?

As much as I want to try the new iOS 10, I ain't touching it for at least two weeks for initial bugs to get squashed.

so we should expect apple to push out a iOS 10.0.2 update within 24-48 hours to fix this and some other things as well? battery drain with iMessage fix would be nice..
OOPS ... they did it again.

The Apple PR group will be along shortly to downplay this incident.
Wouldn't this be a T-Mo issue?
It seems like this would be something related to the carrier settings and a carrier settings update should be able to fix it.

Its not the end of the world. At worst it's a minor inconvenience that will be fixed presently.

If this is still the "quality" of pre-testing Apple have now, I will stay well away from Sierra for some while!
Hey Apple! I know you release each new Beta out to the General Public to try & get as wide a possible testbed, but do you realise many of these "testers" are just kids who "have to have" the latest OS, but don't really "test" it, thus few negative responses?
