lol it only used about 32 mb in the last 4 days on my device

also can we talk about their horrible servers??? been at the park for the last two hours and no ones game is working properly. there were like 60 people that kept on closing the damn app cuz it kept on freezing every time you caught a Pokemon
Have a picnic instead. Far better for you and way less stressful.

can you try catching one right now? literally 60 people were at the park and it didnt work for anyone. freezes as soon as you have the pokemon in the ball. been like that for the last 4h
Maybe it's particularly bad right now. I only played it last night for a few hours, and I had no problems. I can't play it right now, and I already deleted the app this morning anyway because I didn't have fun playing it.

All the hatred, killings, and terrorism going on in today's world... and this little game is the bane of human existence.

...yes, okay, I'll get off your lawn now.
If you stop burying yourselves in a stupid phone playing a pointless stupid game (which is disrupting the world and causing anger & hatred) you might make meaningful connections in the real world that will reduce the hatred, killing, and terrorism.

Just saying. Being buried in a phone is not helping anyone.

Yes, just like rock and roll was going to destroy this country and Elvis was corrupting our youth.

Millions and millions of people somehow manage to live normal lives and play videogames. I'm sure a good portion of those same people will continue to manage their lives just fine now that they're spending more time outside.

See, except this game has led me to meet over 50 people in the last week. So will people please stop being jerks and insulting others. You single-handedly are adding to the hatred by being arrogant and think you're better than anyone the plays this game.

Well it basically did. Seems the morals and respect have been deteriorating since the 1800's. I have witnessed quite a deterioration of society in my lifetime. Now we have a world of idiots staring into phones and not paying attention to anyone or anything. Everyone is entitled and douchey now. People don't even hold doors for you anymore. It's gotten to be a really crappy place to live. I for one am sick and tired of almost getting killed on a daily basis on my commute by some idiotic millennial (I am a millennial technically and I am embarrassed to be in that category) that has to be on his/her phone, not looking, going 90 mph and now looking to collect Pokémon rubbish.

This generation never grew up and it is sad. Especially since the people I know playing this game personally are over 30, unemployed, and still living with Mummy and Daddy. Saaad Saaaad Saaaad.

But please, go about your game.

Actually this game is creating friendships between millions of people who otherwise never would have met. So.. I don't know what game you're talking about, but it isn't Pokemon Go.

I agree with you on a lot of that; all generations currently present on this planet (except for maybe the absolute oldest people) have had their attention spans negatively affected by personal technology. I see people of all ages doing things behind the wheel that they shouldn't be doing. I could focus on that and indict today's society, but I choose to see the positive things wherever I can. Not everyone is "entitled and douchey"... I'm sure there are wonderful people in your life, your place of employment, and even elsewhere in society that you pass by without even realizing it. But the negative aspects of people get all the focus, not the positive and altruistic aspects.

Whether or not someone plays Pokemon Go has absolutely zero bearing on their motivations or personality. The people who recklessly drive and play the game are the same people who already text and drive, eat and drive, get dressed and drive, and do all sorts of crazy and potentially deadly things while they drive. A single game isn't going to change someone's moral fiber, nor is playing said game any indicator of someone's mental capacity. Some people just don't understand that their actions could potentially have long term consequences- and maybe those people will live their lives out metaphorically focused on just barely being able to put one foot in front of the other, much less look up to see where they're going.

Like I said, however, I choose to find the good in people whenever I can. I see tons of people actually getting off their butts, spending time with friends, meeting new people, and exploring the world, all thanks to Pokemon Go. Me personally? I play five minutes per day- if it crosses my mind at all. It's just not important to me. But who am I to judge someone because of what they choose to do in their free time?

Most importantly, and a reprise of an earlier thought- because of how broken today's world is, it's just that much more important to go out of your way to find the good in humanity.

but don't try to tell me that playing 5hours of Pokemon a day is a healthy habit. Not even if you are eating kale while you are playing it. You are contradicting yourself. This is bad for you body and for your brain. I can assure you th

Exactly.
Sometimes a picture explains things a little better. Here are three:

They keep doing all these really cool things... except making their network better. At the end of the day, the gimmicks don't help improve coverage. Or get the service to work indoors. Yes, this is just my experience in my area. YMMV.

They are making their network MUCH better. Unfortunately just not in your area. YMMV with all carriers. I get full coverage LTE in my town whereas Verizon has no internet in many places on my GF's phone.

Seems to me like they have the unlimited data model but pick and choose certain things to give the illusion of awesomeness...?

So what this means is that T-Mobile is monitoring your HTTP traffic? How else could they grant you selectively free bandwidth for a single service?

(I am assuming here that pokemon go uses http which it may not. But it obviousoy doesnt use encryption, either).

I'm sure you'll be life long friends.
Yes and I'm sure you'll continue hating either way. It's not Pokemon Go players causing hate, it's people like you who attack something that has done more to get people up and off the couch and out of their houses meeting new people than any social movement, health commercial, or pretty much anything else ever. This is a global phenomenon, and you are a part of it whether you like it or not.

Had a bit of that. What causes it?

It's been about 12 hours since a Pokémon Go article, I was getting worried.

Still better than new car model released with car play or x retailer accepts Apple Pay.... :)

Though I'm are we will get updates each time Pokemon launches in a new country . I see a trend here...

All these Pokémon rumors really cheapens this website. Honestly, can I read something else besides Pokémon? And I thought Apple Watch bands were the primary focus.

Yeah, c'mon macrumors. These Pokemon rumors might be tipping the pot for me if they continue. I've been reading y'alls articles since 2008, since safari 3 was released and people were saying "it feels snapier" ... Now, there's hardly anything related that is keeping me interested. If all I mainly come here for is to hopefully get an update on the progress on new MacBook Pros, I'm sure AppleInsider can take care of that. (Which, btw, their main page articles as of now already have me interested in stuff that seems more related to Apple)

I'm sorry, did I once say it was a healthy habit? I do believe I said that its better than sitting around all day playing other types of video games, but no where did I say it is healthy. I am a law student, I sit in a classroom or library 80+ hours a week, like many students, (k-12, undergrad and grad) it is now summer. Getting out of the library or classroom for 5 hours a day and enjoying outside while catching a Pokemon here and there is a nice break. And from the sound of it, you have not played it. You are not physically on your phone for 5hrs. You get to a location, you put the device in your pocket and it will vibrate if there is a Pokemon nearby. The phone is not glued to my face.
Read your first post. You said you are burning hundreds of additional calories.

The game is not the problem. The problem is people play it too much, instead of doing other way more important things, such as trying to find solutions for the very same problems you listed in your post. That's what people like you and millions of other people don't understand. I love technology but it alienates people sometimes.

Last time I checked "burning hundreds of additional calories" does not equal "healthy". Please don't put words in my mouth that I clearly did not say.

I actually like the Apple Pay articles, those are my favorites.
