Yes and I'm sure you'll continue hating either way. It's not Pokemon Go players causing hate, it's people like you who attack something that has done more to get people up and off the couch and out of their houses meeting new people than any social movement, health commercial, or pretty much anything else ever. This is a global phenomenon, and you are a part of it whether you like it or not.
 Okay. Yup. I'm sure this fad will change the world. Nothing will ever be the same again. Please...go about your social revolution.

It's the only thing posted anymore. Literally half of everything posted has to do with this idiotic, boring game.
I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat everyday waiting for the next blurry, Photoshop-dodged photo of some supposed iPhone 7 leak?

Sorry that you don't have anything else to read on the entire internet that these PG stores on MR are ruining your day.

See, except this game has led me to meet over 50 people in the last week. So will people please stop being jerks and insulting others. You single-handedly are adding to the hatred by being arrogant and think you're better than anyone the plays this game.
Agreed! It is amazing, the hypocrisy that these "negative Nancy's" have. These people aren't doing anything positive, or healthy, sitting in front of their computer or tablet or phone and posting negative comments, judging people for what they do with their spare time. These people spend more time judging others and making pointless arguments because what? Because MacRumors is posting too many PG articles? If it wasn't so sad, it'd be hilarious. If they were to step outside their little box, they'd see that people like themselves are what is wrong with the world.

I feel sorry for ISPs and telecommunication companies...

they try too hard to differentiate themselves and give extra value but in reality their services are like water, its the same everywhere else. You don't have a competitive advantage

Let's see...the supposed "good guys" here have desecrated a holocaust museum and an actual concentration camp, invaded private property at night and been shot, fallen off a cliff, sat outside peoples homes in cars blocking driveways, crashed cars into trees, got robbed, distracted soldiers on the front line, caught Pokémon in the delivery room when their wife was having a baby, started an LGBT fight, played at several funerals....the list goes on. See....its a problem. People don't hate the game, they just hate the extreme stupidity and arrogance of the group playing it. No respect for private property or other people. And it isn't just a small group....its a large group. Maybe when all the millennials grow up and actually own a house (leaving Mommy & Daddy behind) and property they will see how annoying it is to deal with these idiots. I am all for fun and games, especially AR games.....but when it enables stupid people to do stupid things, no thanks. But like every fad, everyone goes way over the top and drives everyone else mad. Play the stupid game, I don't really care, but don't do it on other peoples property, while driving, or in places that require respect and to put your phone away.

AND STOP WALKING OFF &!#!% CLIFFS!

People need to stop complaining about MacRumors's coverage of Pokémon GO.

They're doing it because it involves Apple and it's being distributed through the App Store, and because it is the biggest game on the App Store ever.

So quit whining. It's getting annoying having to see "ooooh. PokéRumors." in every single one of these articles.

So what this means is that T-Mobile is monitoring your HTTP traffic? How else could they grant you selectively free bandwidth for a single service?

(I am assuming here that pokemon go uses http which it may not. But it obviousoy doesnt use encryption, either).

The protocol does not matter, the ISP can always see to which servers you are connecting. They would only need to log your traffic to certain IP addresses and not deduct this from your monthly allowance. This scheme would not work if you are using a VPN, for instance.

It is definitely a violation of the net-neutrality principle. T-Mobile is also using high-profile and popular services to push their opposition to it onto consumers, who are generally not aware of the long-term effects over the short-term gratification from this. It is actually a very despicable tactic, because they are manipulating consumers this way to make a political point.

Exchanging ideas is not the same as belittling others because you disagree with them or think what they are doing is stupid. There have been way too many judgmental peoppe around here lately.
I respectfully disagree. If I think what you are doing is stupid, than that is my view of the situation. People are always going to be judgmental, it is the way of life. Everyone is constantly judging everyone else.

But like I stated before. The ONLY part of this I think is stupid is the people taking it to the extreme. I don't think your stupid or childish if your just playing a game. If you and your friends go out and have a good time and make some memories, great! If you respect other people and special places...great. But it is the idiots in the crowd that most people have a problem with. IF you are the person sitting outside my house in your car trying to catch Pokémon in my yard....I have a problem with you. If you are just having a good old fun and legal time....go nuts! Enjoy yourself. Life is too short not to have fun. But if you are a phone zombie causing problems and endangering yourself and others...you need help.

By the way, burning calories playing Pokémon is probably the least effective way. Plus there are way more fun ways of burning calories, such as having sex.

Is this what you'd encourage your under 14 year old daughter to do vs playing Pokemon Go?

If you stop burying yourselves in a stupid phone playing a pointless stupid game (which is disrupting the world and causing anger & hatred) you might make meaningful connections in the real world that will reduce the hatred, killing, and terrorism.

Just saying. Being buried in a phone is not helping anyone.

Yet here you are, arguing with someone online instead of making "meaningful connections in the real world."

Well it basically did. Seems the morals and respect have been deteriorating since the 1800's. I have witnessed quite a deterioration of society in my lifetime. Now we have a world of idiots staring into phones and not paying attention to anyone or anything. Everyone is entitled and douchey now. People don't even hold doors for you anymore. It's gotten to be a really crappy place to live. I for one am sick and tired of almost getting killed on a daily basis on my commute by some idiotic millennial (I am a millennial technically and I am embarrassed to be in that category) that has to be on his/her phone, not looking, going 90 mph and now looking to collect Pokémon rubbish.

This generation never grew up and it is sad. Especially since the people I know playing this game personally are over 30, unemployed, and still living with Mummy and Daddy. Saaad Saaaad Saaaad.

But please, go about your game.

Do you have a lawn you'd like us to get off of?

Thanks for that meaningful, well thought-out contribution. It will echo the halls of time.

I do have a lawn that I own....do you own a lawn?

It'd be kind of amazing if T-Mobile suddenly gained like 5 million subscribers from this. The Pokemons craze is real.

In fact I do have a <14 year old at home. I don't actually need to encourage her to do anything. She knows better. In fact, you would be surprised if you listened to her talking about how silly her colleagues look running around each other looking at their smartphone.

I know the definition, and I guarantee it's near half.
There were 5 front page articles on Thursday, of which 1 was regarding Pokemon Go. There were 6 iOS Blog articles of which 1 was for Pokemon Go. 2 out of 11 is not "near half".

Literal means actual. Exactly. Not close or near. If you say, "I literally could not get out of bed yesterday." That would mean you were physically trapped by restraints such that getting out of bed was impossible for a period of time.

Don't use the word literally, for emphasis, unless what you are describing what actually happened. For example, I literally have lost 50 lbs since November last year. That actually happened.

Really. This is what we are fighting about. Really? We're getting so desperate to defend the people playing this game we're calling out English mistakes? I thought the Pokemon Go players wanted to peacefully coexist as one with acceptance. I got yelled at earlier for "attacking" them, yet here they are going to town on someone's English usage. LOL. o_O

I see. So she has a stick up her butt too.

There's nothing wrong with being silly. It seems both of you could learn how to relax and have some harmless fun and not be so uptight.

It wouldn't surprise me if both of you think games like pin the tail on the donkey, sack race, twister, dodgeball, etc are silly and dumb too.

She's 14 and has a job?

Hmm, freebies? Enabling a game, an addiction, that will be used later as an ironic excuse for the developed world falling behind because everyone is lazy and playing games instead of working?

If government did the same thing, enable this addiction with the freebies, people would be up in arms and oh-so-angry.

That's not true. They've bought a significant chunk of 700A (Band 12) license in the continental US. It takes time to deploy, though, and the FCC isn't speedy at approving paperwork..

The FCC is underfunded. Can't have it both ways, but it could be worse, if you really thought about it.
