The iPhone was easy to use for joe 6 pack, thats what made it so popular. I don't think that makes it a better phone.

It clearly makes it a better phone for J6P.

And let's face facts - J6P's opinion is the only one that really matters.

Matters to the market, which your right is very important.

But for me, the iPhone wasn't anything ground breaking, my Windows Mobile phone was doing more than the first iPhone could do. in 2006.

"created" is a little strong.

But only a little.

The smartphone market was minuscule until the iPhone came along.

No, they 'commercialized' it is what they did. Business professionals and geeks alike were using and enjoying for the longest.

It's like what the Nintendo Wii did to the gaming industry.

The gaming industry was already massive by the time the Wii came along.

That's completely unlike the pre-iPhone smartphone market, which was barely measurable.

Yeah, but nerds and gadget lovers are outliers.

I got the Dreamcast when I was little and it had online gaming capabilities (web browser too!) . But it took the ps2...heck.....THE FRIKIN XBOX 360 for it to be cool and popular. Come to think of it the SNES had online gaming.....but that's a different issue all together.

Oh, so motion controlled gamIng was just booming before Wii? Had no idea.

That also goes against the "blue ocean" strategy the CEO of Nintendo of America talked about...guess you are more qualified than him!
