How is Apple going to lose big time?. The iphone 4 is still the number 1 selling phone and it's been out for 15 months so if they come up with a 4s, it will also be the top selling phone too, just going based on the iphone 4 sales.
The iphone 4 is STILL the number one selling phone and while we keep up with the latest and greatest, most people don't care as much as we do about the latest model. All they wan't is a good fast phone that does everything they need and the 4 does a good job at that. Adding a dual core A5 and an 8mp camera is a big deal and I do believe it will still be the top selling phone. If it is foolish logic, can you explain to me why the iphone 4 is still the number one selling phone while there are other phones that have way better specs?. Don't get me wrong, I wish they do come up with a total redesigned 5 but so far all the leaks have been of the 4s model which makes me think there is only a 4s. Whether a 4s or a 5, I'm buying!.Foolish logic like that will kill even a company like Apple.
...or one could conclude that nobody is getting iPhone 5 this year, and everyone is getting iPhone 4S...We finally got a confirmation from this guy that Apple will release an iPhone 5 this year. He mentioned that T-Mobile will not get it this year, meaning other carrier does like AT&T and Verizon for sure and maybe Sprint too. Here you go folks you heard it from this guy and my logical conclusion is right.![]()
That's what I was thinking....or one could conclude that nobody is getting iPhone 5 this year, and everyone is getting iPhone 4S...
T-Mobile USA is the worst...
T-Mobile USA makes it difficult to contact their customer relations...
So I plan to write CMO Brodman at T-Mobile USA.
...And I would like to encourage others to do the same.
Below is the only available address for T-Mobile USA...
T-Mobile Customer Relations
P.O. BOX 37380
Albuquerque, NM
87176-7380
Send a letter to T-Mobile.
Tell them we demand a subsidized offer on the iPhone...
Just like the other 3 major U.S. carriers...
Remind them why we want the iPhone...
And what we'll do if we don't get it...
The iPhone was first introduced at the start of 2007...
In just a few months it will be 2012...
T-Mobile deserves to lose a boat load of customers when the iPhone 5 is released.
Who the %#$@ is excited about the next Android Phone?
P.S.
...I'd like to jam an Android Phone down Mr. Brodman throat, then call it from an iPhone5 in Germany...
as far as I see the T-Mobile plan for the smartphones is ~$80-90 and ATT is around $100.
So there is not much incentive to switch carries to begin with. If TMO would lower their prices a bit they would get millions of new customers with the iPhone but at the current prices the benefit of having the iPhone is limited IMHO.
It is interesting how specific he was. One would usually say "Sprint is not getting the iPhone this year", not "Sprint is not getting the iPhone 5 this year", especially since we do not know that whatever comes out will be called the "iPhone 5".That's what I was thinking.
Tmobile is actually really kind and great, in my opinion.
First off, they're the only carrier to not enforce IMEI tracking (pardon the terminology if wrong) for data phones. I worked in the cell phone business and my ATT rep told me that ANY smart phone, whether it's an unlocked phone from overseas or whatever, will require a data plan once its IMEI is active on the ATT network. With Tmobile, they do no such thing (unless, obviously, it's their own smartphone). I have been using an iPhone on TMo for 3 years now, and it wasn't until recently that I decided to add a data plan. When I got a 4, I gave my 3GS to my dad, so at one point, we had two iPhones on TMo with no data plans REQUIRED (because we didn't need/use it).
I'll concede it would be ridiculous to REQUIRE a data plan for the iPhone for Tmo cause they don't support it, but I like that they allow OTHER unlocked smartphones to be used without a data plan. That's what I like about my carrier - they're not always telling me what to do. There are some people out there who don't need/want data, but want an Android/smart phone to use on wifi!
Secondly, the pricing cannot be beat. Right now our bill averages $85 a month. That's for 3 lines, unlimited texting on all 3 lines, 700 shared minutes (with unlimited nights and weekends and mobile to mobile), as well as an unlimited data plan for my line. I'm not one of those types who are like "well if you pay this much more, you get quadruple the minutes!!". I want to keep the price as low as possible.
Once someone finds me a carrier that doesn't require a family to have data if one person wants it (Sprint requires an entire family be moved to the Everything Data Share if only one person wants data...so even though two lines don't use data, they'll be paying for it), and a price as cheap as mine for the features (ATT and VZW don't come close), I'll concede that Tmo is not one of the better ones out there.
...is a bunch of iPhone subscribers, at a lower rate than AT&T has them at, when they're still hoping that AT&T can buy them. AT&T would then have to figure out how to raise their rates while not pissing them off.
The ABSOLUTE last thing T-Mobile wants is a large influx of subscriber base right now. Because that would ruin their 'our company is dying, please buy us' story. It's essentially a lie anyway, but that would make it totally obvious that it is.
Sad news for me...
On the bright side, they are not officially getting the iPhone to subsidize but the phone could technically still support the T-mo 3G bands.
Nothing a Jailbreak & Unlock couldn't fix.![]()
TMO USA leaves much to be desired, but many of us would like the Galaxy SII and Nexus Prime. If you don't like TMO, then leave like all the others. The reality is if an unlocked iPhone 5 can run on TMO's network, then that would be a decent thing. TMO USA has 1 million users that use an iPhone.

No. It is $70/month.
No it's more. you need to add tax and the foreign calling plan. if you want to make a fair comparison you can't compare base price without tax at TMO and all costs from ATT.
This is a very interesting comment because it can be interpreted in two ways.
"We" can be interpreted as being T-Mobile USA -- they are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year, but their competitors are.
"We" can be interpreted as the mobile phone industry! That means there will be no iPhone 5 released this year!
Someone needs to ask him to clarify.
My heart just sank.
Probably not a whit.Pink∆Floyd;13381051 said:
