As Apple's media event quickly approaches, the flurry of rumors continue to pour in. First off, both Steve Jobs and Tim Cook of Apple have been building the hype for their product announcement on Wednesday. In Apple's PR release, Steve Jobs describes the release of a "major new product that that we're really excited about."

During the Q&A session of today's financial results conference call, Tim Cook teased that he "wouldn't want to take away your joy and surprise on Wednesday" when questioned about their upcoming products.

One analyst now claims that Apple may allow all U.S. Carriers to sell the iPhone:
T-Mobile USA Inc. will get the phone this summer, followed by Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel Corp. in the fall, and Clearwire Corp. in 2011, Horan wrote in a note yesterday. AT&T Inc. has been the exclusive carrier since the iPhone debuted in June 2007.
This report leads to one possible interpretation of the Apple invitation with colors lining up with the brands of major carriers:

We think it's likely to be a simple coincidence, but makes for an eye catching possibility.

Finally, the NYTimes now reports that the new Tablet will run current iPhone and iPod Touch Apps.
It will run all the applications of the iPhone and iPod Touch, have a persistent wireless connection over 3G cellphone networks and Wi-Fi, and will be built with a 10-inch color display, allowing newspapers, magazines and book publishers to deliver their products with an eye to the design that had grabbed readers in print.
If true, this would consistent with a report from analytics company Flurry which claimed they detected up to 50 presumed-to-be tablet devices running their iPhone apps.

My gosh I cant take it anymore! someone freeze me and then wake me up when the tablet is here. I really hope the multi-carrier rumor is true. I don't want to have to change carries to get the iPhone.

Man after all the hype apples putting into this if they don't have something amazing to show us appl is gunna be hurting.

im hoping att allows iphone users to have free data on the itablet.

this is ridiculous to have an itablet plan x iphone data plan

Haha, remember the south park episode where cartman freezes himself so he can wake up when the nintendo Wii is finally released?

I really Hope Verizon iPhone for the Summer My Contract is up in march and i can probally hold off for a month or two if its any later i may nab up on the Eris or switch to att.

That is my hope as well! I hope AT&T is scared enough to say, heck, we'll allow tethering (which is what the tablet will need) for the data plan already in place. If not, there is little reason for people to stick with them if other carriers have it as well and offer it up. But this may be the next bit war for the carriers, who can give the best bang for the iPhone community. I sure hope so, typically the consumer wins when this happens. :D

the colors would make sense if we could figure out what the baby blue carrier is.

maybe it's part of at&t's colors?

Edit: the image was edited as I was posting!

AT&T is blue + orange. so take your pick.

That image and colors are amazing. They match up so perfect.

Coincidence, probably yes, but possible it is hidden message. So cool.

I already want an iSlate and not even out yet.

"I will by anything if its shiny and made by Apple."

Meh...

Carriers which are competitor have a natural tendency of choosing different colors for their logos, to differentiate themselves from one another. That leads to the usage of primary colors (Cyan, Magenta, Red, Blue, Yellow, Green etc.) in corporate logos, and I really feel it's simply a coincidence that Apple used primary colors in their invitation.

This event will be about the tablet, not cellphone carriers.

I'm not ruling out some announcement about the end of exclusivity of AT&T in the US, but I'm pretty sure that the colors were not planned to give us any hint about this secondary announcement.

Ok, that's just freaky how all the colors match up EXACTLY. I'd expect some of them to be off, but it looks like they were all copied with the dropper tool. I wondered why all the colors didn't quite go well together. They all seem bleak and dull. I figured there'd have to be some clue in them because they didn't look very "Apple."

Anyone have a clue as to what the purple might represent?

That also explains the dominant orange and blue coloring. (AT&T) I bet new carriers are announced, but not released until later depending on how well their colors are represented on the invitation.

Then again this could all be a pipe dream and I could be crazy.

What about US cellular?
that's who I have

Oh Wow....what a big disappointment

Friend works in local Apple Store and was able to get some us some new product brochures out of the back room.

So yea, I saw the scoop on the iPad and am disappointed. It is more like a big iPhone than a laptop and the worst part is, it won't run Logic and has no FW ports.

Reality distortion field?....getting a reading of zero here.

Bummer.....
;)

This is truly amazing... The Apple community is exploding! I doubt the colors in the invite have anything to do with major cell phone carriers though...

Good guessing - the colours do point out to the colours which the carriers use.

I think it's a bit of a stretch of the imagination. However, if true then the good people at Apple must be cringing that the code has been revealed!
