Haha, wow guys / gals. I know the majority of us really really want this day to come . . but man lol. Matching colors in an Apple add with phone carriers lol. Apple definitely needs to give us a couple of clues from now on, because you guys sound like panting thirsty dogs lol. Just kiddin' but for real, this is beyond speculation. So was the purple just added for effect, or is Metro PCS joining the party? Lol, c'mon guys.

Oh the fun it would be to be one of those Apple employees in the know and to see the rumors/speculation flying; and watching everyone try to make a clue of everything. (Be even funner if you were the person making the clues, and see how many get it right and how many go on wild goose chases)

...so how are apps made for a 3" screen supposed to run on a 10" screen? Super-low-quality graphics? That would fail. Not to mention that playing an accelerometer-based game wouldn't quite work when you're essentially holding a large book and waving it around (concussion city). Besides, who would want to use something that large when they're walking around? You don't see people walking around carrying netbooks in NYC...
:apple::apple:

You heard of dashboard right? We all have 3" apps running in the background. Nobody is going to walk with a tablet, that's not what its intended for. That's what the iPhone is for. Devs will update the apps to fit the tablets if needs to.

Maybe it doesn't have a 10" screen. Or Apple has created a phenomenal way for this all to work out. I pick the latter :)

In a window. Apps will work, they just won't be optimized. Over time developers will release updates. Many will be ready when the device actually ships.

Uh oh, looks like the Microsoft Store will also be partnering with mobile carriers:

Sorry T-Mobile.

Even further proof that Disney is involved in this...

And let's be "serious" for a moment: I found in the iPhone simulator from the SDK references to "Purple Hardware". Notice how purple is "hidden" behind all colors in the invitation?

He tablet is coming too fast. I missed the days where it was still a myth and every rumor added exponentially to the hype. Now that it's coming pretty much in a day, there will be no more hopes and dreams :p

Believe me, the software possibilities and firmware etc. . along with more innovation of hardware that's already in place over time, will keep us on our toes for years to come. ;)

youre reaching, nobody ever said the tablet is technically the exact same as an iPhone + more...

I think if the iphone goes to diffrent carriers.......the iphone will lose it's value.......

the iphone won't be an exclusive phone.......

instead it will become an everyday phone.

I wont' be surprised if at&t starts giving free iphone 3G's for 2 year contracts....now..

If it has required 3G, then it probably will require a monthly plan.

Theres no reason they can't make a version without a cellular antenna. Theres no reason it would need a required 24/7 data connection.

iPhone already proves it works just fine without 24/7 data connection thanks to AT&T's coverage.

Make the tablet WiFi only and another version with a cellular antenna.

Whats the point of cellular in a tablet anyway?

Well, whatever will be, we will know in around 37 hours... this is almost like being a five year old on Christmas Eve, waiting for the BIG day to finally arrive! Starting to get yancy!

C'monnnnnnn Wednesday! :D :apple:

I agree, cellular in a tablet could seem strange, but think about being on a train and reading the newspaper off your tablet. Wouldn't that be amazing?

And also, the iPhone was out 3 months before the iPod touch. This new tablet device maybe require 3G right off the bat, and then move to a Wi-Fi only version later on.

Oh man. this is much lulz. I cant stop laughing for some reason. Matching colors to carries. This is a new low.

Come on now...

That carrier tie in to the colors of the ad forgets one important thing: The tag line. What is the connection between "our newest creation" and opening the iPhone up to other carriers? Nada. Zero. Try again. If that were all they had to offer, I recommend sleeping in on wednesday.

This just in: many logos are color, and colors are present in the Apple invite.

There are symbols and maybe words too. So perhaps we need to narrow it down to companies who use colors, symbols and/or words in their logos.

I first heard of clear like a month ago when they sent me a mailer. They are a major carrier now? Where can I go to find out who is financing them that makes them a major carrier?

I am considering their service.

Most people would be wise to download the newspaper before getting on the subways. :p

LOL! Nice one :D

Well, the difference would be that those are the typical Microsoft colors ALREADY used. Apple has never used this ugly color combination before, so that does seem a bit mysterious to me!

I think the invite banner/thing is ugly. Maybe it is this way for a reason!
