The weirdly thick antenna separators are really bothering me. I understand they have to be there for the antenna but they are so much more tolerable on the previous models.

That's metally crazy as the whole point, and has been talking about on these forums for AGES is that, you want to increase the size of the screen to keep people happy, whilst at the same time reducing the rest of the phone down to minimize overall size gain.

Not just stick it in a MAKE IT BIGGER ALL OVER oven.

Will be a joke if the new iPhone is bigger than other phones with the same screen, esp after all the fuss about keeping the phone physically small last year.

Honestly if these leaks are accurate to the appearance of the new iPhone then it doesn't look that amazing. The back with that gaudy plastic band going around the top and bottom looks really tacky.

The iPhone 5 and 5S with the glass panes looks a lot more classy.

The back of that phone looks like I broke it and taped it together. Apple is not going to let the back of their phone look like that. If they did, that would be total design fail. Apple would for sure blend in those lines with whatever color/texture the back will be.

People are speculating it will be a single multi-color round LED, so no need for a pill shape dual flash.

Well, I think by now it's a safe assumption that this is really going to be the approach. It's too big. Plain and simple. I don't know how I would ever operate that thing with one hand when the iPhone 5 is already a stretch to reach the corners. Won't be buying this.

Which is very unfortunate because there don't seem to be many other alternatives out there. I really hope Apple keeps around some version of the 5 for people who can't or don't want to use a phone like a tablet.

I'm sure they will keep an old model around... But eventually you're gonna have to come around or use really old technology. That's the direction the mobile phone industry is moving in and I don't see models getting smaller. So you can choose to fight it for now but eventually you'll end up with a larger phone.

its not just me right? it looks like they simply stretched it taller AGAIN, and it didn't get wider???.... why would they do this....

Would apple really make a tv and make it 4 feet wide but only give viewers 1 foot of height...?

I agree looks very stretched (vertically) again. If it is 16:9 its a very weird 16:9, maybe it wont look weird when we see one

I just can't see that happening, has LED technology really come on so far in a year, that this now makes sense, but didn't when the 5S was released?

I think that they will be covered by glass again, and that people were using the shell photos as the finished design, but Apple hadn't put their extra bits on them yet. They can't possibly think that's nice!

At least this one is passing off as "maybe legit, probably not" rather than the usual "hey! I think it will have a 3D projector, so I used Blender to design a chrome-colored one with detachable faceplates and a holographic Apple symbol that winks at you when you look at it at a slightly different angle. What do you think???" which is strangely less painful than iOS concept videos "We knew Apple was working on 3D so we ripped off Bumptop and added lots of swooshy animations, also now you can google things with your mind.".

But other than that, I completely agree with you.

Why do they keep showing the updated iPhone with a longer base. How stupid is that. The only way to make the phone useful for images, video and office work is to make it wider. Thats what Samsung discovered long ago. Will it now take Apple decades to figure this out?
