You should. I've been using it for months and could not do without it now.

same. I've been using it since even before i got my MBP (there's a windows version) and I think I started using it when lifehacker(?) featured it.

EDIT: here's the lifehacker post: lifehacker

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't dig it. I do very specific color work so it's a no go for me anyway, but it sort of made me naueseous when I tried it just for kicks.

started out that way for me, but now it's indispensable at night for me, when i have the lights off at least.

What setting do you guys have it on at night? I tried fluorescent, but are there any other options that you prefer?

I like the overall look but have any of you noticed when you scroll in Safari it will make black text look purple fleetingly? I'm not sure if I'll get used to it or not.

I have it on tungsten (2700k) when I am working in the dark at night... during the day i don't usually leave it running.

just got a new mbp and installed this. yesterday, it was annoying.
tonite, i realize i really like it; i work a lot at night, glad i found this (well, this thread).

thx

leave this running 24/7. at first i was like wtf. but then when u revert back to normal and back to this, u realize how better ur eyes are.

LOVE ITTT

Any photo editors here that have tried this yet? I'm curious to see how much it affects (if any at all) photo editing when working with colors. Thanks!

Havent worked with photo processing of any sort with flux on at the time but I do think the effect(s) on the photo are going to be pretty substantial. If you're going to work with photos it is ideal to work with the most accurate colors and flux is probably aimed at casual use at night, which it's great at. Probably not ideal to work on photos with extra warm (or cool) color profiles in general

what settings do you guys have yours at during nighttime? I know I just started using this today and I have to get used to it, but is Halogen a good setting? Looks awfully...aged haha

Also, is it an issue if I'm always using an OttLite lamp close to my laptop at night? The color from the lamp is white and looks awfully closer to the default white lighting before installing Flux instead of the Halogen setting lighting on Flux.

used it for a couple days and it really works. i have my daytime on daytime and my nighttime is about 6k. tonight i thought it wasn't on because my eyes are already used to it and i turned it off, and then i seen the difference.
i highly recommend it

thats the point. use halogen for like 15mins then turn it off, you'll notice how its much better on the eyes
