Doesnt work with an ipad unless its jail broken. Wtf?

Before iOS 5 I had flux on my iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It was really nice and I could actually feel some kind of tension in my eyes when I turned it off and the screen returned to its more native blue hue. Bummer I lost jailbreak when I upgraded to ios 5.

Wow I've been using this for only about 20 minutes and I can't believe I've never found this before. Big props to the guys at f.lux for creating such a great program, so mush easier to see, I can't even believe the benefits I will feel over the course of only a few hours, let alone the long term benefits. Thanks for posting this.

It's really an amazing bit of software.

I've been sleeping alot better since sticking this on the MacBook.

Really? That sounds pretty amazing. I always use my computer up to right before I sleep (for school or procrastination). I try to stop but I can't and I end up feeling really fatigued the whole day for as long as I remember. I hope this helps.

the second it turned on I felt relief. wow. I have pretty sensitive eyes beside the fact, so this is perfect. I'm just worried because I use my computer for a lot of print work that colors will be off, but I can always turn it off.

cheers.

I have now been using this for a few weeks and absolutely love it.

I'm actually tempted to leave it on somewhat during the course of the day too as I think the "tint" is considerably better for my eyes :)

Wow, this software is amazing. Makes a huge difference for me. Thank you so much for posting this. I'm 2 days in and already I can notice a difference in eye pain.

My eyes had been bleeding - and my doctor just didn't understand!

Thanks to F.lux my sight has been restored and my blood loss staunched - & sex is at least 3x better!

Gee, Thanks F.lux!

just changed 2 things that make this now perfect (for me):
set it at 5000k, and changed the time zone to an hour behind here.
prefer it changing over a little later...

great app!

been using this for the past few days and it's amazing... I turned it off before posting to see the difference, and my god I can't believe I ever lived without this software on my computer.

op, thanks a bunch :)

Downloaded this a couple of years ago and deleted it straight away in disgust.
Just reinstalled it and it's nice for text and general web browsing, but the moment you try to do anything with photos it's insta-golden hour and sepia B&W everywhere.
Also, being in Scotland in winter means I'm going to have a yellow screen 20 hours of the day. That said, outside of photos and video it does a good job so I'll probably keep it.

Yep, but it's a small price to pay for having soft water that doesn't destroy our kettles.

For reading though, at night especially -- f.lux is one of those applications that I wish I'd found years ago.

If you need to do colour critical stuff, you can always cancel it for an hour at a time. Although, if you're doing colour critical stuff on a laptop, you're probably getting sacked.

Very, very good. I downloaded this last night. I used it for 30 minutes then tried to switch back, but my eyes weren't having it. Definitely a must-have. It's also very easy to switch back-and-forth, if needed.

This is really great for reading at night. Almost feels like something Apple should have come up with.

Is there a way to set it back to the default color setup? I reinstalled it last night and it still went back to the adjusted settings from before when I messed with it.
