5.5" on a phone is just bonkers

Couldn't possibly envisage buying one....I've seen the larger Samsungs etc. and they aren't phones to me, they are approaching tablet proportions which just isn't what I need in a phone. A 5" screen might be okay, but nothing bigger and hopefully Apple won't cave in to the borderless approach either. My current 5S is a great tool...for other task I have larger devices:)

I still don't see why people like 5inch + sized screens on mobile phones.

If all they did was make calls then you would have a point but they go way beyond that these days. These are mobile computers and are used for a multitude of tasks of which making calls is only one.

Most people I know text or skype more than make phone calls. People lives now revolve around these things.

I'm currently using a nexus 4, and its not too big or heavy. I fact I sometimes forget I have it on me.

I'm sure some people didn't see the need for the internet on a phone, but we now couldn't live without it.

I'm not American, so unsure of the Cimmaron, but the 5C is a fail. It's a 5, very slightly enhanced with a plastic case and not much cheaper. Keep the 4", add a 4.7 and sorted.same specs.

Keep the 4S in production for the medium end

But if the 4.7" is similar in physical size, maybe the 4" is not needed?

(Slightly off topic: The Cimarron is a rebadged vehicle from a low grade brand to a premium brand. Similar to what the 5c did by re-shelling the 5 into a plastic body and market it as a lower priced phone while everything inside is from a year old and the consumer gets better value by getting the 5 instead)

Yes, if they can move the screen up, and down, and reduce bezel that could be possible with no form factor change. Although the extra screen would require more battery so I'd expect that the form factor will increase.
4S Budget
5C or 5S, last years model, a saving
6 in 4" and larger form factor 4.8 for this years model

Maybe keep the 4 as well for budget

I'm surprised how much I like the 5.5" iPhone. But I already find the iPhone 5/5s to be almost too big to be comfortably useable with one hand.
