Target Information

Which of all the previously posted scripts is the easiest to edit? I saw numerous just not sure which would work the best. Also, couldn't tell but did any of them send an email saying when the item became available? That would be a really nice tool.

seems like we're getting all the wash up items here. i'm going to wait a while and get the 32 GB ATT model around easter time.🙁

I havent seen anything in Grossmont store all week.
I did in Poway on wednesday and went there in the afternoon- White 64gb wifi. Guy at the counter insisted they had none and went on about people asking. Said the online system is five days out. It was there for the next two days.
Dont know how you saw a black one in Poway on wednesday. Only white 64gb came up for me. Thats weird that we were getting two different results for the same store.
I am fed up at this stage. If the Xoom wifi was out I would have one now and not thought anything of this ipad2 crap.
So it'll be race as to which one i can get first.

My local Target has 5 32gb WiFi black models in stock but won't sell. I had them check the sku and the lady said "yes we have 5" she then proceeded to call the back room to have it pulled and I heard her on the phone say "oh! they are not released yet?" she then walked away to continue her call in private (I assume) and about 5 mins later a big guy from the back comes out and says "we dont have any" to which I reply "your computer shows 5 in stock" to which he shrugs and says "I looked and there is none back there"

From there I went to Customer Service but they gave me the same story.

Frustrating experience and I really don't know why they would hold stock. Oh well 🙁

Got It!!!!

So thanks to this thread I got my first iPod ever! Up here in Humble, Texas right outside of Houston.

Woke this morning @ 730 and checked inventory for a black wifi 32gb model and BAM! Good Morning! So had the wife stop by the local Target which opened at 8 on the way to her 830am hair appt.

Course she calls me at 810 and says she's sitting outside Best Buy but they don't open till 9!!!! Auuuggghhhh! So I calmly tell her it was at the Target across the freeway.

She calls back a few minutes later and had secured the last iPad 32 gb black model! Lady at Target said they only had 2 and she got the last one!

So the inventory checking links totally worked for me! Thanks to this forum for helping me get my iPad!

Oh and of course, loving it!
 
Online tracking worked for me!! Stayed overnight in Hammond, LA on the way home from spring break...on a whim last night checked stock at the Target there and showed as the only store with any availability.

Arrived at opening this AM and picked up a 32GB Black and a 32GB White. Will sell one to a friend back home in Texas where nobody can find one.

Thanks to these inventory trackers, I got mine today.

I was among the many who were just waiting for the online order with an estimated shipping of 4/1. Without much expectation, I checked if any Target had any supply. To my surprise, saw that the Target in San Mateo, CA had availability. Took off immediately and drove down 16 miles from the city. There were no lines or crowds. Got a wifi 16gb white and left the store in 2 minutes. I got lucky. Now, they are back to being out of stock.
 
Got mine outside Boston

I also had success with the target inventory tracking. Waited in line outside the Apple Store (natick, ma) this morning, only to miss out by 5 people. Then on a whim this afternoon, decided to check the target inventory. Everything was showing "out of stock". I checked back about an hour later and Marlborough East Target was showing "available" for the 64g ATT white. I got in my car and sped over there. Sure enough, they had one when I got there. No lines, no stress. When I got back home 30 minutes later the store was back to "out of stock".

So for Boston people this might be a positive sign. Does it finally mean Apple stores received ATT models today and they'll be selling them tomorrow? For the last few days it seems none of the Boston Apple stores had ATT models. But if Target got a shipment of at least one today, you would think Apple stores must have received some today as well. Just a guess, but seems to make sense.

Haha yeah that was me. I couldn't believe my luck. There are a ton of traffic lights on the route I take and I hardly hit any red. I got there just in time, got the last one and it was the model and color I really wanted in the first place. I'm glad you're happy with yours too. It really is quite a small world. Enjoy your iPad 2 in good health!

For sure some stores got stock on Tuesday and Wed. And I'm pretty sure I saw some people on Thursday reporting stores in SoCal with new stock.

The secret is to check before they open.

After seeming to be always one step behind getting my preferred 32Gb Black Wifi (twice this week the last one was being sold just as I got to the electronics counter)I found a 16gb white wifi's at Bristol st. Target in Santa Ana CA. It was strange that they seem to just come up on the locator later in the morning 11 ish, i checked it @ 6am and nothing showed. called store and the clerk said they had 4 left. Got there in 5 maybe 10 minutes and got the 2nd to last one. The clerk said they had sold out earlier that morning and then around 10am the manager brought out more. Either way keep checking it.

😀 wow they had alot today. someone picked one up before me @ 8am and then i got one @ 9 from that store.
 
Got one!

Woke up this morning at 7:15, decided to check inventory. Saw that a store in West Sacramento, CA had some 32GB Black WiFi 'available'. I made the drive and arrived about 20 minutes before 8. There were 2 other guys already waiting, then a couple other people came a few minutes later. Store opened, we walked to electronics. They told us they had some, and had to go get a box in the back. They had 5 of the same model. We all got one. While I was checking out, people were calling asking if they had any.

Has any of you seen a restock or manage to grab one from any of the Target stores in Washington(Bellingham/Lynnwood) area...I haven't seen the stock change for 4 days lol

The anecdotal evidence does not support this. At least five of us have been at a store that showed a model had "availability" and in five cases it meant two units. In other cases there were three, still others there were five and in one case there were seven pieces of a particular model. That is where available=2 or more came from. If you read back from page 6 of this thread information will support this.

Rosemead Target

Anyone that snagged an Ipad from the Rosemead Target this morning, how many did they have? I drove by at 7:30am and saw 4 people in line at the door already so I drove on, thinking there wouldn't be enough. I wanted a 64gb white ATT. Anyone know how many of those they had? Seems like I always do it wrong, either showing up too late or not going in thinking too many people are in line. So tired of hunting for one...
 
My local target (Clifton, NJ) is showing Available for just the VZ 64GB White model.

Phone calls and even going to the store produced none. Couldn't get them to talk to backroom either.. Hope their not holding them on us...
