Target Information

I wish that is the same case here in the DFW(TX) region. I'm still trying to find one at any one of the Target stores near my home. :(
 
just wanted to infer what other people have said all over the thread: the target confirmer is not always accurate. for instance, a local target has limited availability of an ipad for at least three hours now, but i called a while back and it's been gone for at least two hours.

i'm probably done looking for the day, as i haven't seen any ipads show up after about 4 pm. maybe tomorrow.
 
Thanks to the locator I got a hold of a 64gb at&t black ipad 2 yesterday. Originaly wanted the 32gb but didn't mind paying the extra $$$. Very cool little site.

Yeah, called the one on 75 by Uptown and they said not for another couple of months (which I doubt is fully true.)
 
32 Gig White is in a Columbia, SC Target. Not the model I want, but it has been in stock for the past 3-4 days, which is surprising to me.
 
The target inventory locator scanning searches provided here for the iPad2 is not reliable! I saw an available status on 2 of my near by Targets this morning, and when I went personally, they told me no deliveries at all today. I argue with them that it's showing in their online inventory search as Available and this mornings entry. They refused to acknowledge that, saying I definitely have the wrong information. And I physically had someone check the back of the store. None received.

Sounds almost exactly like my experience today. Except nobody would go check in the back, because they said that once something comes in it goes straight out onto the sales floor. The guy said, curtly "I know it says we have them in stock, but we don't". I don't doubt that the locator is accurate, most of the time, but there are going to be some hiccups.

It's the San Jose Central location on Monterey Rd, if someone wants to try their luck...it still shows as available.
 
Something Strange is Happening...

4 local Targets today ALL showed Availability. Went to a couple and called the others.... store associates did a check of the DCPI number and each store showed they had 5 iPads. I had the associates check high and low and none could be found. Something strange is definitely going on. Of course, the associates said the inventory system is not always accurate! I am of course surprised by this because the inventory system is exactly what has helped me in purchasing new iPads. The only suggestion one associate had was to check back in the morning as maybe the inventory showing available was a sign of an incoming shipment. Hmmmm...... really? Doubtful.

Same thing just happened to me, the locator (and targets website) started showing availability as of this morning. Just went to grab one (32GB black wifi, i want white but they have a nice return policy if i decide later) ... low and behold, the woman seemed baffled. I showed her the website on my phone, she checked on her little scanner thing and said they had none.

Then again, she kept saying "they come from japan and aren't making any right now" .... so I think i'll check back after work.

Yeah, and it seems like most of this is wrong as of today. I checked a few zip codes today that i've been keeping my eye on, all showed NONE yesterday, and there appears to be a TON of stock today ... however checking with the store shows they have zero.
 
Denver has iPads!

I used the iPad locator today and Denver lit up like a Christmas tree! At least three stores with 16GB Wifi Black. Superior received 5. They now have at least one less. I got one there.
 
Same where I am, however I did not venture out to see if the results were accurate since the model I want (16 Gig Wifi) was not available.
 
Cincinnati-area stores just got lots of stock also. Pretty much only one of any given variety at any store, but lots of selection across numerous stores. I wonder what was so magical about today?
 
I'm at the target at 8532 Davis blvd in north Richland hill, Tx, and I'm looking at 5 white 32 gb wifi only models on the shelf at 8:43 pm. I've already got my 3G so if you want wifi only, I won't be reducing the stock to 4. :)
 
Not relying on Locators

All iPad locaters i've used were very inaccurate. I even tried the Targets of different states, and the electronics dept sales clerks all confirm no shipments, no iPad received today, even though the locator status say Available.
 
Pipper, thats is exactly what I'm looking for, a white 32Gb wifi only. Here in South Florida, no one has it!

I'M SO MAD AT THIS I LOOKED UP MY STORES AND THERE ARE ALLOT IN STOCK UGH SCREAMING APPLE :mad::mad: and i'm still waiting on mines to ship here
 
Don't know how other targets are working in the area but Target in foothill ranch CA has 10 iPads in stock that they are holding for Sunday. I was in there today shopping and was just curious to see what they had. I ran the python script when i got home to see if they came up and sure did.
 
I was told the iPad will be featured in Sunday's ad. I'm sure they're saving the current ones for Sunday.

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I work for Target, and there was a message on WorkBench, internal messaging system, that indeed ALL Target stores will receive 1 case pack of 5 iPad 2's to be held until this Sunday, as it will appear an the weekly circular.
 
I just called a local store that ipad2locator showed of having a 64 GB verizon black ipad2. I called them, but they said they have nothing on stock.

They are definitely stocking up.

So what is the deal in the weekly Target circular for the upcoming week? :confused: Buy an iPad 2 & get a free $5 Target gift card? :confused: :eek: :p
