No, pro denotes professional which means "someone who makes money at their craft." Can someone make things that they can sell using this machine? Yes, absolutely. Can you? Maybe you have needs that aren't met by this machine, in which case there's a whole line of more expandable MacBook Pros to suit you.

By your definition a pencil is a "Pro" tool.

I mean really, why did they ever bother calling any of their computers just "Macbooks" seeing as it's technically possible to make money with a calculator even. Does that make it a Pro Calculator?

The "professional" market Apple used to cater to was the Audio/Video one and that does NOT mean it's made for DIY hobbyists at home. Sure, they might buy one, but a "Pro" product used to mean it was designed for those in the industry (either Audio production/mastering or video production/mastering with software like Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro, respectively).

I would agree that Apple NOW seems to want everyone to think they're a "Pro" and so they renamed their entire line to "Pro" products, thereby devaluing the entire name of "Pro" in the line just Lucasfilm did with their THX line (by enabling anyone with the money for the fee to get the logo, the logo has zero meaning anymore and is therefore essentially USELESS).

Likewise, Apple has removed the professional from the professional lines and now everyone and everybody is a pro and thus the least common denominator and every crap toy they make will soon be called "Pro". Get ready for the iPhone Pro and the iPad Pro and the Airport Express Pro and Genius Pro at the Pro Apple Store Pro Pro.

Come and get the new Apple Pro Line of Pro Drivers for your golf game. You're sure to be a Pro with the Pro Line. Tiger Woods is a Pro. So buy our line and be a Pro too!
Note: Individual Results May Vary. This product in no way guarantees that you will golf better. Please consult a doctor to make sure you are healthy enough to golf. Side effects may include dizzyness, sore shoulders, sore back, lumps on head and sudden death.

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”

What about some kind of flex-form mold that would keep them snugly in place but not restricted from bulge?

Sounds like the same problem as foam. It'd be an insulator so you're decreasing heat dissipation. This causes a shortened lifespan of the battery cells.

but what about 13"

there is one thing that doesnt add up (or maybe it does)
some of us are talking about a 13" retain coming out in Q3-4 but how possible is it.
of course i m asking YOU macrumors as i dont want to tear a MBP...but how likely is it that a 13inch could cram the same amount of stuff in a 13" body ....can it really be done? and more importantly can the new heat dissipation system handle it!

I'd say so. You won't get the separate discrete graphics, but the improved/increased battery could take the space freed by the superdrive and then it's a case of fitting an improved screen (assuming one is available).

Of course it could be done. Make it 1/4" thicker...oh wait. They won't do THAT.
