Just got my blue tw case, and it's pretty thick, but I liked the grip and it's decently high quality for the $59 it costs. I'll use it 50% naked and 50% with the case.

It seems Apple has given up on leather. I mean yes the last ones were apparently horrible with the coatings and what not but is it that hard for them to find a good manufacturer? I guess its all about the price tag. Good leather and leatherwok costs more than cheap leather and mass produced leather cases
It's wasn't about the price tag, at least according to Apple statement at the time they did it. It was about the carbon footprint of leather, and their commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030. They seemed to have conveniently ignored the fact that while cows do have an outsized carbon impact, leather is largely a byproduct of the meat industry.

Yes so their statements are BS for real

I’ve been using my TechWoven case for over a month now and it still looks new so am happy with the build quality. I’ve also dropped my phone a few times also and there’s not a mark on my 17 Pro or case.

So far so good!

Looks good. Was it dropped on a hard floor surface or carpet ?
I have dropped it on a hardwood floor at waist height and it has also fell out of my pocket onto concrete pavement as I’ve got out my car.

I have looked closely at the case and there is no impact damage.

I’d consider the TechWoven case to provide medium protection when compared to other cases.

I have always used gel cases and my phones have felt indestructible. My 8, 12 Mini and 13 took serious beatings with no marks on the chassis whatsoever. I don’t know if the TechWoven case could provide that kind of protection, I just don’t think it feels as protective as gel. I have a Spigen gel case too if I were to take my 17 Pro somewhere risky.

The plus side is that it looks a lot better than a gel case and is also a lot grippier.

Dropped mine on hard floor a few feet and bounced off the floor… the front lip 100% protected it

Phone and case unscathed

Already feeling I got my moneys worth from this one incident :D

Same here for me today. Accidentally dropped it from about 4 feet onto the floor: Not a scratch and techwoven case was still flawless 🙌🏻

In the past a drop from this height with an apple leather case would have damaged the leather so I’m very happy with the change 😊

I still love the silver with black techwoven combination:

I'll echo the surprisingly good drop protection for TW. My 17P fell on a tile floor from about 3 1/2 feet. Case and phone completely unharmed.

Thanks for everyone showing pictures of the case, but no one is showing any frontal shots which show how big is the lip around the screen. That would be nice to see.

Long time Apple Silicone Case user here (10 years), tried a lot of other cases but nothing came close in terms of usability.

Been using Techwoven and I can say this could be even better (I'll give it a year or two to be sure). It is as grippy as silicone, yet without the stickiness and catching lint in pockets. There is no sticking to the pants pockets as it is with silicone (similar to transparent cases, but those are slippery). Bottom edge is also protected. Buttons are really nice.

Below are some photos, which show how delicately this is woven. The case is dark green, yet some individual strings are almost fluorescent, but the end effect is dark green.

Edge is also woven, but even more delicately.

Camera bump is silicone.

I purchased a sienna techwoven on release day. That one fit nice and tight, no creaking or loose corners. I eventually returned that one thinking I’ll find better cases. After a couple of months, I repurchased one and fell in love again with the form factor, but now the corners pop off easily. I’ve tried 3 different one and it’s the same issue.

Anyone get one recently and find the fit not loose?

P.S. What happened to the main case thread? Am I tripping or did it disappear?
