The full slate of awards for "Ted Lasso" included:
  • Best Streaming Series, Comedy
  • Best Actor in a Streaming Series, Comedy — Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso)
  • Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Comedy — Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent)
  • Best Supporting Actress in a Streaming Series, Comedy — Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton)
Apple TV+ scored another win in the Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama category, with Rupert Grint capturing the award for playing Julian Pearce in M. Night Shyamalan's "Servant."

While Apple TV+ still offers a relatively limited amount of content compared to other major streaming services, its shows have been faring well with critics and award judges. "Ted Lasso" has of course been the breakout hit and has been nominated for a total of 20 Emmy Awards this year.

This show was mildy good at best. Competed the first season, laughed a few times. Have no desire to pick up a second.

This award association just proves they suck, or are paid.
You are missing the point. Ted Lasso is not about the jokes, because although some of them are funny, as a non-native English speaker I don't understand most of them, but the show is much more about the positive way to looks at things than anything else. Truly something never saw before in television and it deserves to be highlighted.

- and this proves my point. Maybe some kind of positivism could make you appreciate and respect other people's opinion. Cheers.

I got one year Apple TV+ for free, not sure if I will pay the next round. Maybe I'll use the money towards iCloud storage, seems more fun...

Agree. Apple has so little to do with these shows. Begs the question why we keep seeing this on a tech forum.
Considering how much of the script actually is promoting apple stuff, Im not so sure. Facetime, imessage, icloud pictures etc. Fine that everyone got latest possible iphone and shows it all the time, but some things are just weird

That’s the thing, it’s too positive, cliche-y, just really not what I am looking for in a television series.

The ‘positive stories of life’ or romantic back and forths, just really isn’t my thing. And no knock on you if you do enjoy this stuff. But I find it quite boring.

Cheers!

I saw only the snippets on the last keynote, but I really despise this actor and the format. Funny? Not at all to me. Maybe I just don't understand what he says and the pun as non-native speaker.

I find apple series obnoxious.

Ted Lasso makes my heart happy.

I couldn’t agree more. I couldn’t put down the remote for season 1. I’m now watching season 2 and there’s no excitement anymore.
Season two, might feel slower because we aren’t able to just sit down and binge watch the whole thing. I am finding that as each episode releases, it gets better and better because the story is getting filled in.
I enjoy the fact, that Ted isn’t the only character that is developing.
