I'm gonna order online then pick it up at Apple Store (Littleton, CO). Then I'm gonna get to the store like 4 hours before they open and sit out.
Same here man

i was all confused reading this thread I was like when did we find out the phone would be released on the 28th? lol then I saw the date.
Dude, stop posting the same thing in every thread, because I'm just going to have to correct you in every thread. It's almost fact, there will be a shortage of iPhones. If you don't believe it, try and get one, cause it ain't gonna happen.
I'll be camping out at one of the AT&T stores on Route 1 in Jersey, not sure which one yet.
Why is it almost fact? There wasn't a shortage of iPhones last year. I walked into an Apple Store in the afternoon on launch day, got my 3GS, and was done in 10 minutes. No shortage.

I had someone tell me this Monday would be a good day to be at the apple store if I'm interested in the iPhone.. I trust him enough to be there that morning.![]()
This is my fav thread around this time for WWDC.
Heh, mine too. It gets me excited.
I'm thinking about waiting in line for the new iPhone, but was wondering how early I need to get to my AT&T store? If they open at 9AM, maybe get there at 7:30 AM (with coffee and such)?
Nothings been announced yet. IF Steve does announce an iphone release on Monday. I'd assume there should be enough time to drive to your local apple/at&t store.. it's the hardcore geeks like us that will be all over this the moment it's announced. The average person won't hear about it until later on in the day I'd assume.
Indeed. There might be a ten-second story about the release of the iPhone on the national news, but besides us Apple geeks, it'll escape from everyone else's mind pretty soon after they hear about it.
I'm glad I'm an Apple geek.![]()
I remember the 3G launch was crazy. I went to the AT&T store in Oak Lawn and got there at about 6ish and was like the 3rd or 4th person in line. I remember the 1st dude who went in to get his couldn't get it because he wasn't authorized on the account. By the time I left up out of the store the line was crazy as well as most other AT&T stores in the area.
...and usually a switchblade or mace for defense just in case.
