This is a bit discouraging. So many people have told me how wonderful the Apple Watch (and Apple in general) is but all these complaints seem to contradict their comments. Perhaps keeping my non-Apple watch and not spending 500 Euros for this item is best for now. Glad I read this thread.

There's plenty of people that said they're ok with their performance. I only had an issue the first day or two.

Mine was fine to start. But as of today. It’s total shocking. its been on charge more today than I’ve worn it

Try turning it off and back on. That's when things turned around for me. It's been fine for several days after that.

So I've been gwtting bad battery life the first two charges with the AW S5 Ti. I kept it on blk cali face woth one earth complication and date. The battery usually ends my day with around 40-45% left from 8:45am to 12:45am. I went for Edition face for a day and that was horrible, i remember posting it in another thread, with like low 20ish% remaining from 8:45am-12:45am. I've updated to ios 13.1.1 and it didn't seem to drastically change. I decided to messwith some options such as background refresh and current location to "while using app" for some constant checking apps and turned off "hey siri" and only left raise to speak and crown. Today, i went feom 8:45am to now 5:06pm, I'm standing at 72% battery life. I fidgetted with my watch quite a bit today too considering its work on a Sat. I guess my suggwstion is to change some settings that are always being used for no reason or not enough reason. The watch face makes a difference for anythinf but black face. Though I really like the edition face, so I'm leaving it at that.

I too am suffering from the battery not lasting a full day. Today without a workout and with a full over night charge I'm down to 39%. What gives? I hope this improves. I can't take it back as I traded mine 3 in for a credit. I don't want to be watch less at all.

Well all face watches on AOD turns black anyway

Infograph modular still has color

First full day with S5. 16hrs 12 minutes since last charge, currently 18% left. Lazy day so no exercise sessions or even heavy usage, though the watch is showing 3hrs 33ms of usage.

So, the Watch is doing a full day for me on a charge in real terms.

Returning mine and getting a cheap S4. This isn’t going to cut it for me, I’d rather not risk waiting on an OS update which may or may not fix the battery issue.

The background is still black...battery life is the same on all watch faces. Seen no difference at all

Ya but other people have seen a difference, including myself. Also, it’s not really disputable that OLED screens use more power when there’s more colour being displayed…that’s just a fact.

ios 13.1.1 watch os 6.0
2 hours on bike with iphone. Music, activity, AOD on, useless noise off.
I lost 26% or 13% per hour.

Not bad, but not good

I'm definitely seeing a difference between watch faces. Doesn't seem to be an issue of the complications, just the colors/complexity. I also think a few of them may be buggy for AOD (solar definitely is on my watch).

S5 Cell Watch of the charger at 7.15AM. At 10PM the watch had 54%. This includes 30 minutes run with cell enabled. The rest of the time cell was off, and wifi was on. Originally the watch was restored from S2 backup and the battery life was terrible. After reset and restoring as new, I've nothing to complain about.

PS: The watch has got always on display off.
