That is far from what I'm experiencing. It did get somewhat better since 13.1.1 - from about 13%/hr to 9%/hr. But that doesn't really help me getting through the day …

Doubt you'll see much improvement in that -- turning on cellular and starting a workout both are high draw. 20% in an hour is on par with what we've seen in prior generations of watch and watchOS.

The issue folks are seeing is more the non-workout battery drain.

Thanks, I'm a first time AW user so that's good to know. I usually workout late in the day so will probably need to give it a bit of a charge to make sure I make it through.

That likely won't be necessary once they get battery life sorted out.

For example with my S4 today, just doing some stuff around the house, I'm showing 88% battery at 1:30pm having taken it off the charger at 8am. Showing 1h 1m Usage and 5h 29m Standby.

Overnight battery drain with watchOS 6.1

That's why those claiming that 13.1.1 fixed battery issues are incorrect. That update has nothing to do with the WatchOS and how its going to perform battery wise.

Thinking of installing 6.1. Can you let me know which watch faces are removed in this beta? I'd hate to lose the California face as its my favorite one.

Just the meridian is missing I believe. I’m using the California face.

Got my watch today and so far the battery has been shocking. Didn’t put it on until midday at 100% now 8 hours on its 10%. Haven’t even been using it heavily either.

Been using the infograph modular face with heart rate and compass complications which live updates information, so I’m guessing this is what’s draining it?

This is ridiculous

sat on my bum for one and two hours doing nothing, this is from 100%

it was fine yesterday. Today I updated my iPhone to 13.1.1

not sure it matters what watch face you use

Today is a non-workout day and I took the watch off the charger at 7am. It’s 4pm now and with regular use (notifications mainly), I’m at 77% on 6.1b1 (iPhone 11 Pro running 13.1.1)

This is a bit discouraging. So many people have told me how wonderful the Apple Watch (and Apple in general) is but all these complaints seem to contradict their comments. Perhaps keeping my non-Apple watch and not spending 500 Euros for this item is best for now. Glad I read this thread.

Maybe I'm lucky? I'm on retail everything (13.1.1, and watchOS 6) With about 40 minutes of workout time each day I can usually go 8am to 1am and have about 10% left. Using infograph with compass and noise complications. Seems to work alright for me
