Tested the iPhone X at the Apple Store this morning

I suggest people to see the phones in person and then decide. The silver is a good change for people who have always been using black phones.

The fact that both models are hard to get means both are popular.

Hmmm, that silver looks pretty nice, second guessing my space gray. My pickup time is not until 5:00 EST, I will look and if I like, ask if I can switch which is unlikely. I'm not sure I love the chrome sides.

I am not sure why though, my phone will be in one of the leather cases I already bought the minute it comes out of the box and will only come off to put a new one on.

Silver looks best naked or with the Apple Case

The key is the SS Frame. It just shines and catches attention

I went with SG because I didn't want the shiny stainless steel frame. I like it a bit more subdued.

It's all moot since it's going in a case anyway.

When i saw the 8/8+ in person I initially liked the silver. Then I went back a second time and tiled towards the black. That is how it has always been for me. I like the new color for a little bit but ultimately go back black

These things are always subjective anyway, we all like different things. I much prefer black/space grey as I think it’s more understated. But there’s going to be plenty of people who’d disagree with me. The. Of course, like you say, many people will put it in a case so it makes no difference unless it’s a transparent case of course.

End of the day all you can really do is buy what you like, what you’ll be happy with and not give a damn what anyone else thinks.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a lime green and pink shirt with tartan spots to iron 😛

Silver looks great to me, but the grey looks more seamless. Two good options this year with no terrible white bezel. Think everyone will be happy.

That's what I always hated about the old iPhone colors such as red, rose gold and silver was that they had that horrible white front to them ruining the look in my opinion. Really happy about the silver on the X.

Something about the total package of the silver attracted me so for the first time I’ve ordered a silver phone. I would never have ordered the Silver if it had anything other than a black front. It’s going in a Black Apple Silicone case so it won’t be blingy.

i get my space grey X manana but wish i could get the silver now, i do like bling of the naked silver iPhone x but i mean who is really going to rock it naked without a case you have to be a crazy fu%$ lol so does it really matter what color you get ? i mean if you break it for not having a case on it the price to fix it at apple is just super expensive imo so case it is and i will stick with the space grey i don't want with the return process through vzw and have to wait 3-6 weeks for silver iphonex's 🙁😡🙁😱

The only color I immediately knew I wanted without hesitation was last year's Jet Black. My first Apple watch was stainless, but when I got a series 3, I went with Space Gray. I would have thought I'd want the X in SG to match my watch, but I went with Silver mostly as homage to my white 4S. I would have gotten the 4 in white but it wasn't available that year at launch. It's all very subjective. Regardless, I'm really looking forward to getting mine this afternoon.

Good luck. You won't be disappointed. Silver looks amazing and so does the grey model. If you had the Jet Black iPhone last year then Silver will be a welcome change for you.

Both look great, I prefer the Space Grey though.

It’s the first time I’ve ever had to seriously consider colour choice, I really disliked the old non black/grey models simply due to the lousy white bezel.

That white back is gorgeous... but the stainless steel/chrome surround ruins it for me. It reminds me of the white 3G/s. To each his own.

Looking at photos, I'm glad I chose SG. Now if FedEx can just get here soon so I can start playing with the X

I went to the Apple Store and tested the iPhone X.

Both models are amazing. Really love the feel of the phone. Super comfortable to hold. The interface was so fluid and gestures reminded me of the Palm Pre. I liked that phone so the iPhone X without the home button will be fine for me. Animoji will be fun to use but couldnt play with it so much as many people wanted to test the phones.

The silver model is better than the grey one. It just catches your attention. You want to keep holding it and not let go.
Yes, I did notice tiny abrasions but it can't be noticed until you look up so close. The shine on the silver model is also nice. The back of the silver model is a mix of gray and champagne combined. Looks nice.

The grey model looks like Jet Black. At the Apple Store the phones were kept near the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus. So when I saw the grey iPhone X and compared to the Jet Black they looked so similar apart for the camera and the size it would be little difficult to tell it's iPhone X.
The grey model has so many fingerprints and smudges. Users will have to wipe the back of the phone often. Even the frame had many finger prints and smudges.

Overall both phones are nice because Apple made a great phone. Can't wait to get mine later this month.

I think I will go with the Silver model. It is what I have been waiting for. A phone from Apple which is not grey or black and has a black front.

I am glad I chose Silver as it is the most gorgeous iPhone X color. It stands out and is an attention getter.

If you use your phone naked, then go with Silver. If you plan to use a case, go with black. That’s how I feel anyways.

If you are get the Silver model make sure you use soft case so that the frames don't get scratches when putting on or removing the case

I wouldn't have been opposed if Apple would have put silver stainless bands on the space gray version. I think that would have looked interesting with the contrast.

I also wish there was a all black with normal SS color option. To me that combination would be very attractive.

I prefer the space gray from pictures, just all blends together. I don't like chrome either.

Very happy I chose Silver. I’ve already had Jet Black for over a year and experienced the ultimate seamless expierence. Silver is a breath of fresh air. Not to mention all the fingerprints and micro abrasions resulting from cleaning them. Won’t miss that for a second.
