Texans report seeing UFO

Now that astronomers are finding out just how many star systems have the conditions for Earth-like planets I'd say the odds are even better than they were this time last year. I'm now certain that somewhere out there other intelligent life forms look up and wonder whether they are alone in the universe.
When you think about it even if they have a SETI like program planet Earth has only been sending out radio signals for 100 years or so, so they would have to be closer than 50 light years away in order to have received a signal and for us to have picked up a reply. That's a tiny area compared even to our galactic neighbourhood, let alone the rest of the universe.

Wouldn't mind seeing UFO's too much, but if what was inside them is anything like what they were on Signs, I'd prefer not to see them!

I've actually seen several (they usually look like satellites, but you can tell the difference by their movement. Satellites don't turn!)
one that was very close (maybe 1 or 2 miles from what I could tell?), but since I have no idea of the objects size, it's really hard to say how far away it was
but it was about the size of the moon

and it was shaped as a "plate" (

like a round, flat cheese , but thinner
) and "tilted" with the top facing me (so I couldn't see underneath)

it stayed in the air for 3 seconds before it "disappeared" (I could tell that it took of to the left in an incredible speed, but it was impossible to follow, and it was gone in a split second
And the effect of looking at its strong "whitish" light, and then having it disappear like that, made it look like it disappeared in a "black hole" in the sky, because of the contrast to the incredibly dark winter night
know what I mean? It's like looking straight at a light and then when you turn away the light "stays" for a while).
And then after thinking about what had happened (for a minute or two), I turned around, and it was back in the same place, and did the same thing again!
So, just thought I should share that story with you guys!
I'm not saying that "they" were aliens (all I saw was an "object"), because it just seems "impossible" to travel to the closest inhabitable planet even at light speed it's gonna take a lifetime or more!
But what about something like this: Vimanas?
I'm a sceptic, so I'm not saying they are, but it's at least "as" possible as aliens isn't it?
I also would like to state that the only other place in THIS solar system with life (and by "life" I'm talking bacteria & microbes) is Enceladus, one of Saturn's moons (note that this has NOT been proved in any way, and it's just my personal opinion but wait and see!)

Think? Most likely some teenager stole their dad's space ship and decided to fly it to Earth for some fun.
No, really. If it was an space ship the little green men inside must be either the dumbest people in the universe or kids Hovering around over Tx?
Why would an intersteller space ship have navigation lights? I gues so that if another space ship happens along the pilots can try and remember the rhyme "red on right sailor take fright" and turn the wheel to the right to avoid a head on crash. Thos pilots must have good eyes to avoid a crash at Warp 8. No, if the thing has red and green lights on the side and a white light on the tail it was built here
Could be a blimp. A big military blimp with electronic equipment and a huge antenna inside. They use these maybe for monitoring comumications and maybe also for a ground watching radar to track vehicles. Of course the government is not going to explain this. They will just be happy that people think it is a huge space ship.
Next question: Could a star ship even "work". How many people would ride on one knowing they could not even get to the destination in their lifetime, let alone ever return. Even at 90% of the speed of light, it is a one way trip.
I wonder if any of the UFOs, if any, are like Time Tourists from the future on a trip. See the archaic 20th and 21st centuries! First Hand!
Pretty interesting this story is, turns out more folks have seen this and a few interesting video's and pictures have been posted by a wide variety of sources. Lots of sightings and we have what from our govt? nothing. Means one of two things. One its ours and they arent talking or Two its someone elses and they arent talking. think about it.

The reason there is always some yokel being interviewed is because they don't want it to seem plausible.
Just because the USA covers it up doesn't mean everyone does. Belgium and Holland have said they have witnessed UFO's, among other things. France said earlier last year that they were to release UFO reports to the populace. The information is out there.
Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised that the US government has some crazy insane technology, with all the funding the defense department gets.

There's still #3 - the people were seeing normal, every-day objects in the sky, and interpreted them incorrectly. Anyone willing to dismiss this explanation doesn't have an appreciation for how tricky the mind can be at times.
This is still the most logical explanation.
Plus, the reports vary greatly from person to person. For example, some report seeing an object 1/2 mile wide, and hovering silently low above the ground. ...There are two major problems with this: the amount of force used to keep such a massive ship afloat would leave obvious marks in the landscape, plus, it is impossible to judge how large an object in the sky truly is, so how they estimated 1/2 miles wide, I don't know.
I agree with the size estimation problem (like I said in my previous post). It's really impossible to tell the size & distance of an object you can't identify! So if you claim it's a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) then don't claim to know the size (unless it was in front of an identifiable object)!
Not sure if it would leave any marks in the landscape though? We have no idea of what (possible) technology is involved, so it's fair to say it's "possible", or simply "we don't know!"

Anyways the mile description I think came from the sherrif who reported the lights as a half mile across a mile long. Not a single object but the lights around the object.
Two places who have more on this is UFO evidence.com and ufo casebook.
A good video was posted by someone that shows a solid object hovering with flashing lights.That was at ufo evidence. This wasnt a airliner,nor venus nor swamp gas.
Again its ours and they aint talking or its someone elses and they(govt) avoids the subject like taboo. If its ours a simple experiments were being performed by the military would suffice. Now if it aint ours and it is someone else's then we have been lied to for a very long time.
The truth is outhere but we wont get it from the feds.
