People think that a 'UFO' is an alien spacecraft but in actuality, a UFO is nothing more than an aircraft that you have never seen before. For example, let's say that I have never seen a stealth bomber before, that bomber, to me, would be an Unidentified Flying Object. (thank you, History Channel:D)

Just the other day I saw an object fly over my house that I've never seen before. It was half plane and half helicopter. It had a cockpit of a helicopter but a tail of a single engine plane. It had rotors on the top like a helicopter but wings like a plane. It looked like a larger version of 'Little Nelly' from the James Bond movie.

http://www.ufocasebook.com/2008/nomysterysolved.htmlThis is a interesting take on the govts spin.
I find the military's remarks perfectly reasonable.

Let's be honest about this; mistakes happen. UFO reports are nothing new, and when reports started dribbling into the local military offices, they probably dismissed it without giving it a second thought. Later, as the media grabbed ahold of this story the military probably thought it best to look into the case. Lo and behold, they realized their mistake and made the corrections.

With so little faith in our government, why do you automatically rule out such a mistake? Instead, you give our government far more credit by claiming they're capable of extremely complex and unrealistic conspiracies.

At this point, air force operations with F-16s are by far the most rational explanation.

I've seen a few V-22s (Osprey) do approaches here. Real neat looking planes. :)

Nope, I know what an Osprey looks like and that wasn't it. I was small, maybe 25 feet in length and was flying about 1,000 feet off the ground. It was white too.

Ok for the hell of it Im about to throw this thread into a tail spin.

Someone just mentioned this to me, 90% of the country believe in God and are seen as normal, but mention aliens from another planet and you are considered nuts.

That's because 'God' is a widely accepted thing; aliens are not.

For the record, I do believe in aliens. I just don't think there are any in our galaxy. Think about it, there are billions and billions of galaxies in the universe. From what we know, Earth is the only planet with intelligent life. How do we know for sure that we are the only ones in the entire universe? We don't.

Just thought I'd mention

About a week ago we had some snowfall in England. I was looking out my window at it all but as I went back to the computer I spotted a blue flash in the sky. Not a lighting blue/purple flash but a deep royal blue. Sat waiting for the thunder but nothing happened.
Rang up my girlfriend an hour later and she said her friend spotted a bright yellow flash in the sky, again with no thunder. This was 100 miles directly south of me.
Course I thought it was a new fangled plane but it was just completely silent.

There's a large lake area around here that's been a hotspot for "UFO" activity too. Even my super-skeptical dad said he saw something strange around there.

*le shrug*
