Thank God I got the 6 Plus

Lottsa chicks stuff their phones in their pockets, can easily see the bulgy outline. I actually don't like to carry my phone while working, I often work heights in a safety harness making it awkward to hang on my hip as usual, a fall would be deadly but sometimes I more or less have to.

I have no way to gauge how most people carry their phones, frankly have never thought much about it until now. I have noticed most teens stuff them in their pockets, no man I hang or work around ever does.

You may have been carrying cell phones in your pocket for years, but you have only been carrying this ultra slim, long phone that is rumored to be inherently prone to bending in your pocket for weeks, so you don't have much to compare it to.

The bending rumors were proven false quite some time ago. Consumer Reports even tested them and found them to be just as sturdy as any other phones from other manufacturers. And, yes, while some ladies do stuff them in a pocket most don't. Usually ladies jeans are tighter to the body and have smaller pockets than men's jeans. And of course many women wear other garments which don't have pockets at all, and have purses in which to put them. It is a fact that most men, teenage or otherwise, do carry the phone in their pants pocket.

If its a rumor then I don't know what to say about the 100's of bent phone pics posted, and I hardly even pursued them as its not of much interest to me.
As far as your "facts", either post some stats or calm down, in lieu of any proof I don't see your opinion as any more valid than mine or anyone else, I do know what my own eyes tell me, obviously we are not seeing the same thing. I see chicks with phones stuffed in their pockets all the time, you don't. You see guys with phones stuffed in their pockets all the time, I don't.
Why is it then that the "defender" clip case and others [which I also rejected for being too bulky] sells by the 100,000's ? People are not going to buy a clip case only to stuff the whole kabootle in their pocket, now are they ?

It was contrived. Give it up already. Bendgate was a false rumor, nothing more.

Please do not reply.

LOL for someone who has owned bigger phones like the Galaxy S4 and the LG G3 I am quite happy with the iPhone 6. I bought the phone so I could use it with one hand. I couldn't really use my LG G3 with one hand and the iPhone 6+ is bigger so yeah it was a no brainer. Some of us don't care if the resolution is a little bit better. Throwing my charger in my back pack to work in case it needs to be charged and plugging the phone in to charge is not rocket science. It takes me 20 seconds to grab my charger, plug it in and throw the phone on the charger. Obviously from the pictures, they aren't that different. So yeah, try again. Just because the iPhone 6+ better suits your needs, doesn't mean everyone else needs to get one.

Whilst I can see why you'd have it clipped on whilst working heights in a harness, I'm actually a little surprised. I would have thought it is much more vulnerable.

But out of interest how do you carry you're the other 16 hours in s day? Do you still have it in a hip holster? I find that so last century like what old people still do and wear a big Bluetooth earpiece in all the time as well. Sorry I'm getting carried away, it just amazes me when people do that.

I just don't get all these comments regarding size and too big for pockets. I mainly wear slimfit and skinny fit jeans and chinos and it fits in my pocket together with a wallet and sometimes with a works blackberry just fine. Both standing and walking and sitting down. I've been doing my usual running, dog walking, dig, wash my cars, horse riding, playing tennis. Heck it is not out of place anywhere. I mean I can do all the things woman do in a tampon commercial without bending the phone in my pocket.

However to be fair. If I worked in heavy construction I would just have a basic candibar style phone. Just like my daughter does when mucking out the stables and fixing fences etc.

Just my 2p.

Did you even see half of the "oneofthe9" pics? Half of them looks like somebody purposefully bended them, most of them look completly destroyed and forcefully bended and alot of them are bent in different spots and some look destroyed, and also not to mention some of the same pictures they use too

To say that bent phones are a rumor is simply laughable. Is it a widespread issue? Doesn't seem to be. But rumor it is not.

Damage control

Rumor it is. You people need to cut the crap already. You are being ignored so don't bother to reply.

I don't believe there is a Bigfoot. I don't believe in ghosts. But my first 6 was slightly bent right out of the box. I got it replaced by the Apple Store. My 6+ before it was fine, and my 2nd 6 is fine.

How exaggerated the quantity of claims are is up for debate, but there is a structural weakness in the spot right below the volume buttons. It was identified in the teardowns. My bent 6 sloped up right at that very spot. I've no doubt that my case was highly unlikely, but it was right there in front of me. And as much as the Apple Genius was skeptical that it was like that out of the box, after taking in the back to a manager for further inspection, it was written in the report that the phone was indeed bent out of the box.

It's a rumor that the phone can physically bend? So every single photo we have seen has been photoshopped? Seriously... Is that your stance on this. That not a single bent ohone oboto is real?

Careful. You might make it on his ignore list.

I should be so lucky. ;)

I'm not saying that people aren't ourposely bending their phones. In saying that I don't believe every single case is a ourposely bent phone. Because that doesn't make sense. We have also seen videos of a phone coming. Straight out of a box bent. Apple has also been replacing the ohones for many people (if you want to believe what they've reported, which some people choose not to do)

Like I said, it's obviously not a widespread problem. But the fact that some people bent phones is absolutely not a rumor. Apparently me saying. That is making me get on people's ignore lists though lol. Wouldn't it be easier for the guy to just avoid a thread like this? He hasn't actually posted anything other thsn "these are rumors. In ignoring you now" in the thread.

Think I'll get the plus model next year. 2 gb ram will make it near perfect although I really like my 6 now

I read somewhere never to buy the first generation of a new Apple product. Always wait for the second generation. If that is correct then the second gen. Of the Plus and the Apple Watch will be the ones to get. I too might consider the 6s plus.

I'm with you. Tried the plus and it's fun on the couch but in the wild it's like carrying luggage around. Gets old fast. Apple should have stopped at 5.2 max. The plus is longer than the note 4 and the note is goofy big.

Love using my 6+ on the couch at the gym for GPS, on flights etc. it replaced my IPad that is being used by my 11year old daughter, now that flet like a luggage compared to the 6+. My 6+ fits nicely in my pocket, I don't whare tigh fiting pants so I don't have that problem. I do agree though that the 6+ is big, but it is also amazing to use. If u think the 6+ is big u should see the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3in screen. Anyways it's all good the 6 is also a great choice for people who prefer a smaller phone to the 6+ And It would take up less space the the pocket as well.

I REALLY didn't think I needed a phone bigger than the 6. It's now 3 months in & I'm beginning to think I do need the 6+. I'll prob wait & see what they come out with in the next 2 years. Hopefully the bezels shrink & it'll be more comfortable in the hand

That's my hope too, an improved 5.5" in a smaller footprint. If they can approach LG G3 territory then we'll be in good shape. I think Apple's thinness obsession is going to work against this though. I'm hoping the 6 and 6 Plus are as thin as it will ever get. I've absolutely no need for the level of thinness they've already gotten too, much less even thinner.

I concur. Also, thinner devices= smaller batteries

I've been on 12 hr shifts for months 7 days a week so I don't have quite 16 hr of free time per day, more like 2 or 3 - I have a slim case with a swivel clip that I usually keep clipped on my pocket. If you find that weird, oh well, I find it weird for an adult to stuff a phone in their skinny jeans pocket, cringe worthy in fact, but whatever floats your boat.
Lately I have been working outdoors so now I have freezing cold to contend with in addition to heights, so I've just been leaving it in the car. I can just picture it free falling 80 ft, not a pretty sight.

I'm just glad I chose the one I wanted.

I won't Thank God, but I'll thank myself for choosing the one I wanted.

I guess I could Thank God for giving me the ability to be able to decide on things.

As far as my phone goes ... I Thank Myself

hahahaha such a great comment.

How do you buy the second generation of an eighth generation iPhone?

I prayed for a good copy when I upgraded my plus to a 128 gig version and the Lord answered with a perfect iPhone. I feel truly blessed. :)
