In Samsung’s defense, their products don’t always break - sometimes they explode.

And that goes for several things they make and haven’t fixed the issues with yet.

Like washers. And refrigerators. It’s pretty universally known to stay as far away as possible from Samsung appliances.

Samsung exhibits yet another symptom of an overwhelming inferiority complex towards Apple, S21E37.

That's what happens when your best innovation is a self-combustible cellphone.

I own a lot of Samsung tech (fridge, washer, TV) but their cell marketing department hiring key must be based on some sort of cringe test.

I don’t think the marketing is doing them any harm to be honest. The new Samsung S22 or whatever it is seems very popular at the moment. A few of my friends who have always been on iPhone have tried Samsung and seem to like it. I think a lot of people are getting turned off by the significant price increases this years across all iPhone models and Samsung appear to have frozen their prices currently. It’s a buyers market right now I think.

the Z folds are great but i would want their best cameras for the price. Also as great as the job samsung does with apps they aren't still at the level of optimisation i would want

I look forward to the folding Apple Watch. It will solve all the usability issues and problems caused by it not folding…..

I don’t think I want a folding phone. Feels like a step backwards. The phone ends up too thick when folded. Maybe folding could be interesting on a tablet if it could fold to type, but I’m dubious it would be great even there.

All I can say is I swapped between Apple and Samsung for years. Each one had specs I preferred in different ways. Apple has been good about filling in the gaps here recently to the point that, if they did make a foldable, I would have nothing to complain about with Apple at all… (I work from my tablet and it would be nice to not have to carry two devices around everywhere)

From 0.31 depth on an Iphone 14 to 0.67 depth on the Samsung Z Flip 4, so disengenous for you to claim you need stretchy pockets, that difference is barely discernible, the Samsung phone is clearly more compact than the Iphone, it is akin to saying your risk of dying from disease X is twice as large as disease Y (and implying that double the risk is huge) when Y only kills people 1 percent of the time, context is king.
It's tons easier to drop my ZF4 into my pocket folded than my 13PM was.

Oh but they have in the past. They lost me with the ad making fun of iPhone customers lined up at the store on launch day.
I don't even understand that one. Isn't it good to have that much demand and interest? I'm sort of disappointed I never participated

It wasn't as bad as AT&T/SBC/Cingular telling stockholders that iPhone users were hurting their network and their profits, even though they wanted an exclusive.
