7) I have many friends, but very few in which I may confide. Two, I think.
8) Modern design intrigues every fiber of my being.
Both equally true for me. Here I go!
1) I am an avid outdoorsman. I have been camping and hiking several times a year since I was 4. I have summited 12 mountains in my life, and just got back from doing 2 4,000 footers up in New Hampshire this past weekend.
2) I was raised Greek Orthodox Christian, currently consider myself an atheist, but despite all of that, I am becoming more and more intrigued with Buddhism and Eastern spirituality.
3) I couldn't ride a bike until I was 12, when I was so embarrassed that I couldn't ride bikes with my friends I learned in the basement of my house so people couldn't see me.
4) I still can't swim underwater without holding my nose.
5) My parents were both scientists and instilled a very curious nature in my from a young age. As a result, I've got a lot of random knowledge about a variety of subjects - it's a point of great pride being able to answer my friends questions about things, and a point of great interest looking up the answers to those things I don't know yet.
6) Perhaps a result of number 5, I spend a lot of time thinking about the nature of the universe, subjectivity, infinity, perception, and other such topics that people my age usually don't consider.
7) I have been in a lot of relationships, but have only been in love twice. It took me two and a half years to fully move on from the first girl. I'm still not over the second girl. Both have enriched my life and shown me new things to love about the world.
8) I am addicted to ebay.
9) My curiosity can sometimes be misinterpreted as callousness, but I consider myself to be an empathetic person nonetheless.
10) People tell me that I come across as confident, cocky, and witty. I don't feel that way.
11) For most of my life I have been afraid of heights, spiders, and small spaces. I am still afraid of those things, but have learned not to be held back by my fears and this has let me do so much more.
12) I used to run cross country in high school. I quit after I was injured training for track in the spring. I've only just rediscovered the calming, zen experience of distance running.
13) I'm related to Greek islanders, Huron royalty, the founder of Quebec, the sister of Jeffery Chaucer, Kings of England, and Charlemagne. I feel very little connection with my heritage, supposed nationalities, or even that much filial loyalty.
14) I believe that people should be judged as they are, not based on the recommendations of others, gender, family ties, race, or friendships. This leads to myself putting my foot in my mouth more often than not.
15) I have had more job applications turned down than I can remember.
16) Hopefully I will be in Morocco for my last spring break this spring.
17) Facebook is the bane of my existence.
18) I like nothing more than pleasant conversation over a nice cup of coffee, especially on a snowy winters day. Since coming to school at Delaware, the thing that I miss the most about home is the snow.
19) Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite author
20) Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip - currently my new favorite band. Thou shalt not use art, poetry or music to get into girls' pants. Use it to get into their minds.
