Many of us are still meeting up. Some people are
coming from outside of London and the UK to be here,
so here's the plan:

From 2pm or so onwards (the pub opens at noon),
the MacRumors London Picnic 2008™ will take place
in the pub. Which pub?

The best ways to get there are:

1. Catch the Tube to Gloucester Road tube station
(Piccadilly, Circle and District lines) and it's a five
minute walk to the pub or...
2. Catch a bus which goes along Kensington Gore/Kensington Road
(9, 10, 49, 52 etc) and then it's also a five minute walk

Sorry I didn't make it! I was in London but I managed to score a lunch date with a hot Apple concierge (hehe), which sort of limited the amount of time I had to travel from tube station to tube station (and with Victoria line being out, that sort of restricted my moving as well)

I did try looking round Hyde Park though (since it was a nice day) but no-one was there. (as far as I could see)

Hope you had fun though!

Brief summary

Met at pub near park at 2ish, quite a few drinks, with some arriving towards 4pm. Then at 5:30ish, left pub, stocked up with supplies at various shops and went to park where much food and alcohol was consumed. Played football, drank shots of aquavit, enjoyed some sunshine and some tunes.

Left park at 9pm or so, with a core of about 10 going onto nice pub next to park with private little room.

When is the next one?

As soon as another one of these is on and I am old enough to drive a car then I will be there, pulling up in my DeLorean :p
 
Ah ok. I didn't think it was your first picnic, so I never even considered that.

I guess that technically, if I went to a picnic, all of you would be new to me despite how long I've posted here. Unless people introduced themselves to me under their screennames, I think I'd get confused pretty easily. You would have to learn everybody's name twice. For example: "So you're Jaffa Cake on MR, and your real name is [Pablo]".
 
Glad to hear the weather cooperated at least a little bit and that a good time was had. Of course, this entire thread is useless without [properly vetted/edited] pics.:D
 
It was a great day. Put a few more faces to names. I'm slowly recovering from the after effects of Teh Shirt and iPod Hi-Fi carrying (them buggers are heavy).

We're working on pictures and may post something within the 24-48 hours once we've gone through them. I fell over more than once while playing football. And a funny moment? Oooo... so many. I'll let people tell their own stories.
