The 2010 Purchase Thread!

I'm not saying I won't buy anything, but at this point in time, there is really nothing I'm looking forward to, except SW:TOR and that is not due until 2011.

Got the following on pre-order for Day 1

Still waiting for price drops on:
Bayonetta
Dante's Inferno (if its 20-30 bucks)
Darksiders (only if its 20-30 bucks)


Still deciding on Alan Wake...I'll get it, just not sure if it will be Day 1.

Oh, and I buy all my games on Amazon. I'm a Prime member so I get free release day delivery. No tax, and lots of $10 and other pre-order bonuses, makes it a decent deal. Any other games I'll just wait for a price drop a few months later.

• Castlevania: Lord of Shadows (Xbox or PS3)

• Last Guardian (PS3)
• Metroid Other M (Wii)
• World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (PC) - not sure about this but I'm assuming it will be this year, and someone preordered it for me 😱

There are even more that came out this year or late 2009 that I would have been interested in except they came out too close to other games, like Blur, and I just don't have the time.

Uncharted, next to inFAMOUS = best game of 2009.
 
Unless they announce a PSP2 at E3, I will be picking up a PSP Go this year.

I will not use it much, it will be mainly for time on planes and trains when travelling for business. But this "10 free games" deal is just too crazy to pass up for that.

- Resistance: Fall of Man

Let's just say it's money well spent!
And I'll be getting Dead Space, Uncharted 1 & 2 and Resident Evil 5 (Gold Edition). For now, I've got more than enough to keep me occupied!

I would love to buy the Monkey Island Special Edition on PSN....but I guess us Europeans are not yet considered worthy to spend money on this game! 🙄

I'm eying "Joe Danger" as well - that looks like a lot of fun!

I was a hard core Modern Warfare 2 fan, but got turned off by the price of the stimulus packages, and have given up on it. I will probably give CoD: Black Ops a try, but will give that up once Activision breaks out the reaming tool.

Medal of Honor I am interested in as a CoD alternative, but it's a DICE game and I know my interest will be limited. DICE never gives any game long term support, which always pisses me off. I'll be looking into it though.

I am not a fan of Halo's online play or community, but am interested in the single player story. So I'll be Gameflying that I am sure.

I have my questions about Crackdown 2. Loved the first game, but not sure about the new changes

I'll be looking at E3 for possible future purchases.

They finally released the monkey island special edition on PSN in europe, so i picked that up yesterday! Very awesome, i love the updated graphics, it's really pretty. (except for douchy looking Guybrush, but that's not a dealbreaker...)

Can't wait for the second one, supposedly out next month!
 
FWIW they've got Return to Monkey Island on preorder on Steam, which comes with the first Monkey Island for free.
 
I guess I could update my list.

- Just Cause 2 (got kinda bored with it, will probably sell)
- Heavy Rain (finished, but will keep it cause I loved it)
