Cannot believe the Giants have found themselves in the Series, AGAIN! I remember how crazy it was a couple years back, but it's even more bedlam today :D I love it.

I've called the Giants taking it in Game 5 since before the Series started, and am sticking with it. The Giants are HOT! I'm happy to see a team I really like to watch play take the Series (hopefully, if the Tigers don't flip it around with all the skill they've got contained)..

Over here in Northern California, we are excited but not as much. 2010 was the end of 56 years of frustration, not winning WS yet still having most players and coaches in baseball hall of fame. Like the other hapless California team, the Angels, we had a lot of talent, good coaching, etc but just could not get it done. Angels finally got one in 2002 and we got our first California based Giants' ring two years ago.

While it "looks" like we have it, there's no guarantee in this postseason of anything. We got into WS down 2-0 and 3-1 in NLDS and NLCS, the A's got into postseason and won division from best team in baseball all year the Texas Rangers, and the favored NYY lost four straight to Detroit. With those weird things happening, anything can happen and this year, did so far. If Detroit pulls off four in a row after being on brink of elimination, hats off to them for making postseason history for the second time in baseball history after Boston pulled it off in 2004 at ALCS. Whatever happens, Giants far exceeded my wildest expectations and I seriously didn't think we could have got past the Dodgers to take NL West in the first place.

SCUTARO!! wish the red sox could get clutch guys like him ;):D

lets go giants, finish this **** off

woah woah woah :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Suck it Tigers, that's what you get for sweeping the Yankees.

congrats Giants. I don't mind when the best team doesn't win the WS. It's one of the things I like about baseball actually.

Giants, best team? Probably not in the numbers but definitely the team with the most heart. Another one for SF.

The post season hasn't been about the best team since MLB stopped awarding pennants based on WL records, and especially after they added wild card slots.

It's about who is playing hot in September/October. Cardinals in 2011 are a prime example. Obviously you do have to do reasonably well IOT at least get a wild card.

And I agree, it does keep the game interesting..... although I think it does dull the luster of WS victories sometimes.

Bliss, pure bliss. What an amazing team. What an amazing post-season. Two in three seasons, and now I'm ready for two in a row!

Glad to see you still are starting these threads, macnut.

What a post season for Giants. Still haven't quite taken it all in, yet. As a kid watching the Giants, we could only imagine and hope for such a stellar past 3 years.

If 2010 is any indication, tomorrow's parade will a Giants' fan experience of a lifetime.

I won't be anywhere near there. Being happy the night they won is enough and as great as it was, it still wasn't 2010.

Who thought of holding a victory party on Halloween for a team with Orange and Black colors? Mayhem if you ask me.

No way you should certainly go! It's a great experience.

I had a ton of fun last year at Busch stadium, although I was apprehensive about the mayhem as well! Truly fun to be there as a fan to experience the win with the team!

Perhaps, but being retired, I am going to enjoy this. Everyone of these events is a once in a lifetime deal. I have been watching the Giants since I was a young kid with my father.

In 2010, we had a great time, as we watched from a 2nd story office with operable windows on Montgomery Street. Tomorrow morning, a bunch of us will Bart in early to Civic Center. I am also recording the event on both of the local stations, as one is broadcasting longer than the other.

Regardless of how everyone celebrates the Giants' victory . . . . Enjoy and be safe.

I will have fun watching on local TV.

SF and Halloween and costumes or total lack of any clothing, etc. will be the backdrop for our WS heroes. They will change the route some so more could see them. It still looks like Jackson Square to Market near Bart and GGU, then down Market until Civic Center, right? I can't get a confirmation on this.

If I were to go, coming into the financial district off of 280 from San Jose, would I park nearby and walk the distance? It doesn't seem like there would be any parking anywhere near Market street between 2nd and 7th if it's anything close to the 1 million people KGO radio predicts. What a mess, really.

If I went I think I would park very, very early in safe area a mile and a half out, have breakfast, and walk in.

Coming from San Jose presents its own set of problems. The morning commute is enough to stop me. It is a regular work day in the Financial District. So, parking will be at premium and difficult to find.

I am a short drive to the Millbrae BART station. So, it's a much simpler task for me.

As I understand it, the parade will start at the end of Market Street across from the Ferry Building.

Will the Giants be inviting any of their living legends to come and help celebrate? Who would likely come to celebrate?

Parading around past teams heroes (those that are fortunate to have some still living that is!) with the current team has always been my favorite part of any teams opening day and world series celebration.

Nothing like having a guy like Willie Mays on the field again...even if it is just ceremonial.

Funny anecdote about Hall of Famers being paraded around: The first time I took my wife to opening day at Busch Stadium they had the usual Cardinal list of Hall of Famers: Musial, Gibson, Herzog, Smith, Brock..etc. When Lou Brock makes an appearance the stadium always simultaneously erupts in one loud and long LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU. When she heard that she asked.... why are they Booing him, I thought he was a Hall of Famer. I planted my palm on my face and explained we were shouting Lou....because it's Lou Brock.

Man I'm already excited for opening day!
