Woah. Giants half way to a WS win :O
Go NL!
63Dot you buy tickets for games 6 or 7 yet?
They are pricey. The cheapest ticket, worst seats possible, that neighbor passed on were $175 dollars yesterday.
I think if this series makes it back to SF, that ticket will be three times that price.
With two games down from start, 41 of last 51 WS contests have been won by team with 2-0 start with 1996 Yankees being the last to come up from such a hole. However, having swept the Yankees this year in ALCS, this year's Tigers could be as good as those '96 Yankees and still pull off a win.
First of all, Verlander is going to come back in game 4 or 5. The Tigers are true hitters and have not woken up yet. The series is now going to Detroit. They have not won this contest since 1984 and that's pretty blue balling by now and they seriously want to win this one. The Detroit crowd will probably play a major factor in this one. SF's crowd has always been known as educated, gentile, and quiet, but when we get to Detroit, it will be like "Escape from the Bronx" and this may shake up Giants players.
While some are talking about this as if Detroit has collapsed and had too much rest and this is over in 4 or 5, I truly believe it will go to 6 or 7 and the Tigers will start getting hits, regardless of who the Giants put on the mound. The next game could be 1-0 or 2-0 with Detroit winning. Overall, pitching will still rule in this series and keep following games to be low scoring. The key for Detroit is to continue pitching the same as they have all year and somehow figure out a way to hit. They don't need anything close to a Sandoval set of rallies, just play small ball and get by the Giants by a point.
