Ouch...........

Heck of game last night though. Even if both teams were without their starting QB's. I have a feeling another quarterback controversy might be brewing in Chicago.

Unlikely. Josh McCown outdueled a very bad Seneca Wallace. Also, he's 34 years old and lacks Jay Cutler's arm strength. If I'm the bears, I franchise Cutler for a year and then potentially draft a quarterback of the future after that.

I concede the Bears look great on offense, but that is not, IMO, a product of Josh McCown at quarterback. If anything, it tells Ray Emery that he can get the most out of a quarterback taken in the draft. Good to know, but the Bears are in serious trouble on defense. The Bears have a strong quarterback (don't forget, Cutler looked great most of this season) but have serious holes they need to fill on the other side of the ball.

I think at the end of the day, Cutler will be a Bear and will find success in Mark Trestman's offensive system.

I wonder if Richie Incognito will turn up somewhere else playing under a different name.

sorry, had to

I say it will happen regardless of all the above. It was more tongue in cheek since this is the Bears we are talking about this is Cutler we are also talking about! :D

Don't complain about injuries unless you're a packer fan. I mean wtf??? This isn't even funny any more

Okay, you win. Sorry to hear about Rodgers. Hope he's back soon.

Dolphin Coaches wanted incognito to toughen Martin Up

This thing just gets more and more interesting. If its true that coaches directed incognito to toughen Martin up then they are probably going to be held accountable as well. Granted Incognito took things overboard but if he comes out and says that he was following orders from his coaches to get under Martin's skin and toughen him up then he might actually have a case

Just a terrible situation for everyone involved

This story keeps getting better and better. I have a feeling there is still much more to be heard and said from all parties involved in this.

Rams win convincingly in Indy? Sounds like a bit of bad Luck for the Colts.

Every team has these types of games but it's not like the Rams are the Jaguars. The plays made today by the Rams are something they knew they were capable of - Robert Quinn/Chris Long has to be mentioned as one of the top duo DE's and Tavon finally gets his coming out party. The only thing the Rams are missing is a consistent offence. Is Sam Bradford the franchise? I still don't know yet. Before the injury, he was having his best season (at least statistically) and looked like he was getting comfortable with the playbook.

But like everything in the NFL, you have to adapt quick and Sam's been here for a while so for me, I think next year is truly his make/break year. The defense is in place and with the explosive playmaking ability of Tavon, special teams is there also.

... it's not like the Rams are the Jaguars....
You noticed that the Jaguars finally failed to lose today, right?

Seattle is 9-1 now. That and SF lost today.
The Seahawks actually looked like a good team for a change, like they were playing to win instead of playing to not lose. If they handle the Saints in three weeks, this could be the season they go 18-1.

One home game then a bye week. And during this time Seattle gets back two of their all-pro linemen and Percy Harvin.

Good things coming up for Seattle I think.

...And? Come on. The Rams are still building but you can't be honestly say the Rams are the same level as the Jaguars. Jaguars are bad, there's no disputing that. The Rams are a talented team especially on defense so it's not a total surprise they played the way they did against Indy because that defensive unit is capable of doing that.

sorry for jay cutler. he can't win, even i think he is **** now. and i used to be a big supporter. but playing, and as he played on his groin injury did seem to slow him down more and more, and getting hurt again just strikes me as selfishness on his part.

My picks for this week:

Colts over Tennesse (They already won but I was guessing this no matter what..)

Jets over Buffalo

Bears over Baltimore (On a side note, I hope that Baltimore wins as I am a Packer fan and this would really be helpful)

Bengals over Browns, in a blowout

Raiders over Texans, with Pryor running over 100 yards and setting the record for most games in a season.

Cards over Jags

Washington over Philly, Nick Foles is bound to regress and throw an INT and RGIII is getting back into form slowly. On a side note, I hope the Redskins to win as the Pack can't afford to tie with the Eagles record-wise.

Lions over Steelers, as a side note I, once again, hope the Steelers win as it could potentially lead to a tie in the NFC north at the end of the week.

Falcons over Bucs, in a blowout. Falcons defense finally does something and Matt Ryan performs without Julio.

Chargers over Dolphins

Saints over 49ers, the niners offense is simply performing at a low level and they do not have the skill to keep up with Brees...even with Aldon playing again. I see Gore being nullified and Kaepernick struggling...again. Side note: I hope the Saints win as I could see the Pack easily overthrowing the niners in the wildcard race due to an easy schedule on our side and a challenging schedule on the niners side.

Packers over Giants, I am seeing this as a low scoring game...with neither team going over 24 points.

Seahawks over Vikings, Seattle's struggling offense will continue to ride Marshawn Lynch's back...similar to how Peterson did it last year with the Vikings. The Vikings defense will continue to play terrible, yet somehow Ponder will take the blame for their struggles.

Broncos over Chiefs, Yeah. Probably the game I am looking forward to most: The Chiefs stellar defense v. Peyton Manning & friends; The Broncos 23rd ranked defense v. The Chiefs 24th ranked offense. It just wont matter, Peyton Manning will continue his MVP Run throwing 350yd 4td 1int and Alex Smith will throw 120yd 2td 0int. It is going to be a wonderful game, but I just am not a Chief believer. If it were a playoff game the Chiefs would win easily as Peyton Manning is a terrible playoff QB, hopefully they face each other at the Championship.

Patriots over Panthers, "Riverboat" Ron will finally lose due to his job-saving ways of going for it in field goal situations. Carolinas defense will hold Brady to 3tds..but it will still be enough to win.

and while I'm at it, I would like to revise my playoff picture I posted a long time ago in this thread somewhere:

AFC
1. Broncos, the only game they will lose in the regular season down the stretch is in Kansas City.
2. Colts
3. Patriots
4. Bengals
5. Chiefs, they will go 1-1 against Denver but will lose to the Colts and once to the Chargers.
6. Browns, call me crazy but I like their schedule for the rest of the season...they could easily go through it with only 1-2 losses if they manage to beat Cincinnati next week.
JustMissedIt. Jets, Mark Sanchez gets shipped off to Minnesota after a successful year for Geno Smith and the Jets will draw up a better team for next year with Geno at the center of the offense, unless Rex is fired...in which case everything up in that place is going to go wacko.

NFC
1. Saints, we will learn a lot about the Seahawks and Saints in the next few weeks.
2. Seahawks, Russell Wilson will continue to play at an average, yes average, level...losing to the Saints and 49ers..it won't be enough losses to matter.
3. Lions, the Lions will go 6-1 for the remainder of the season, missing seed 2 by 1 game.
4. Cowboys, Romo will continue to play like Tony Romo, but will go 4-2...which will be enough in a weak NFC East. (No, the Giants will not win all of there games from this point on.)
5. Packers, Aaron Rodgers returns on Thanksgiving to lead the Packers 5-0 down the stretch. If Scott Tolzien manages to go 1-1 in the next 2 weeks the Pack get the 5th seed, if not the niners and pack will flip-flop.
6. 49ers, Frank Gore will wear out due to his aging career and the 49ers will lose to the Saints, Redskins, and Cardinals down the stretch, but will beat the Seahawks. Colin Kaepernick will continue to struggle in the read-optionless offense the 49ers are forced to run.
JustMissedIt. Carolina Panthers, losing to the Patriots, Saints, Saints, and Falcons proves to the organization that Ron Rivera is simply not the answer to their coaching solutions and they will go back to the drawing board for next season.

AFC Playoffs
Patriots over Browns in a blowout.
Chiefs over Bengals in a low scoring game
Chiefs over Broncos in a high scoring game that ends in a pick six with very little left on the clock.
Patriots over Colts in a high scoring game
Patriots over Chiefs in a low scoring game

NFC Playoffs
49ers over Lions in OT
Packers over Cowboys in a blowout
Saints over 49ers in a blowout
Packers over Seahawks in a shootout ending in 45-35
Saints over Packers 38-35

Superbowl
Saints over Patriots, both Brady and Brees will be on the biggest stage of the world for the last time as an NFL Starting QB.

You can take all of that to Vegas, 100% guaranteed.
