I can't believe what I'm seeing.

Brazil look like a pub team. This is just utter humiliation.

It might sound silly, but now Germany's job is to stay sharp and close the game down. They have a long way to go and they don't want to let Brazil back into this.

This will scare the hell out of Argentina/Netherlands though.

I'm feeling a heck of a lot better about USA's 1-0 loss to Germany right now.

just imagine going to the toilette right before that 2. goal ... when you got back 4 minutes later it was 4:0 ... an absolute rout

after the high speed begin by both squads and the Müller goal i thought we will see Germany dropping back and brazil press on but boy was i wrong .. Brazil couldn't get into the game again concentration wise and was heavily disorganized

Germany is now obviously hitting the breaks now ... guess we see some new faces in the second half


i even lost count of who made the assists after the 2nd goal... anybody wrote those down ? (Kroos, Müller, ? , Özil(?) ,?)

I'm in awe of this match. Germany are excellent, but Brazil are making them look legendary. Germany have some really top finishers, and they are ruthlessly exploiting a Brazil defense that left their brains at the hotel. I've never seen such bad defending at this level.

Silva's absence is surely a factor, but I think this is just the natural result of all the pressure Brazil have placed on themselves as hosts. They're shattered.

You have to admire Germany's focus though, and their superb finishing. What a performance. We could end up with a crazy score line now, Brazil are going to have. To either give up or throw everything forward.

fernandinho, dante, luiz, maicon, fred, hulk, bernard

instead of a gilberto, lucio, cafu, carlos, kaka, ronaldo, rivaldo, ronaldinho

in your starting XI.

The excuse will be the absence of Neymar and Silva but really, its no excuse to get spanked.

Scolari has to share the blame for picking players based on reputation/fan favorite and historical stats rather than current form. Then again he didn't really have much to choose from.

But for my money, Willian should've started ahead of Bernard and Ramirez ahead of Fernandinho. Play Hulk/Jo through the middle and bench Fred

Actually just send Fred home altogether. Might as well go into the stands and spectate as per normal.

On another note, it looks like Real Madrid will be getting another top midfielder in Tony Kroos. He and Khedira marshaled that midfield today.

Khedira/Kroos/Modric. Its not bad is it.

You just answered yourself a bit later hehe, Filipe Luis and Miranda could've been a good option, too bad this was probably their last shot at a world cup at top level since they're 28/29. Fred has been a head scratcher for a while, Is there really no other '9' in brazil? Diego Costa might've been a good choice no?

I hope RM have really signed Kroos, he's a great player, but i'm not sure if Khedira is staying, either he or di maria will be going most likely .

First off.

Last night history was made .

That match will be a talking point for years to come. Brazil humiliated in front of their own supporters.
I also give credit to the referee, for keeping the game flowing, and tempers in check.

But of course most credit goes to the German team, who played football like it was meant to be played.

The only down side that terrible kit, I expect German sides to wear white.
