This is a crazy result. Could it be rusty play after the winter break? Obviously the break did not have the same negative effect on Wolfsburg though...

De Bruyn dismantled them.

On another note. The EPL was predictable today. All the better teams won and the poor teams lost. And Mou ground out another draw in a 'big game'.

Chelsea clearly missing Fabregas, City clearly missing their lethal Aguero.

So everyone pretty much as you were.

It was a fairly dull game considering the money spent on those squads. Mou knew a draw was more than good enough. He'll be satisfied because it's his title to lose.

EDIT: Arsenal looked good today against a terrible Villa side. Southampton must win today to keep their campaign for fourth on track. Man Utd has kept getting results, but they cannot afford a slump as long as Southampton keep winning.

Old Firm Derby - oh, how low Scottish football has sunk...Celtic were far superior to Rangers but even Celtic aren't a particularly impressive side and the league is beyond a joke. Celtic's "treble" will be almost meaningless.

All in all a very good day for Arsenal then. United and S'oton in sight. Goal difference gap closed.

The North London derby next week should be one to watch since both teams are in form and confident.

But going by today, Arsenal are dangerous from anywhere on the pitch. Meanwhile Spurs only really have Kane and Eriksen.

I think the third is probably Arsenal's to lose now, their form is excellent. The big battle may now be Southampton and Man Utd for fourth, with Spurs and Liverpool hoping to take advantage of either team above them if they slip.

Mou shifts Schurrle out at Chelsea, brings Cuadrado in for roughly the same price. Uses Salah as bait. Laughs at FFP.

HARRY resigns. Probably before he was fired.

Looks like Harry Redknapp is limping away from QPR.:p

At his age, you wonder if he'll go back to management after this. He could easily get a big fat salary doing punditry.

Maybe Sky could send him around to do car-window interviews with club managers during the transfer windows. :D

or are they limping away from him?

Hard to say. They're certainly struggling and Harry has to take a fair share of the blame, but with no players coming in during the transfer window (is that a first for Harry?) rumour has it, he used his knee as an excuse to walk away (pun intended) after falling out with the club

i still like harry.

Oh dear, no fun in watching BL anymore. Even now with Bayern getting hammered.. *sigh*

Dortmund is still rock bottom. Doesn't look like things are getting any better for them. Safety is still within their grasp, but they'd better start performing, and soon. I'm sure morale is low in the squad, with all their top players and likely their manager all facing lame duck status.

Yep. Dortmund fans already in self-destruction mode. Man, so much enthusiasm after the winter pause (sp?)...gone within seconds.

At least Hertha finally fired Luhukay - and even that is a sad story since everybody was hoping we finally found a mid-longtermish solution for a coach. Too bad he could stand the heat and lost touch with the squad loooong ago. Don't want to know how a table of the last 36 or so games would look. Abysmal. Fingers crossed not both of my teams go down the drain

I'm still baffled at how low they've sunk and continually do so.

They only lost Lewandowski last summer. Yes Reus has been injured but still...fighting relegation is a drastic decline

Also on Reus, will anyone buy him or Gundogan after proving to be very injury prone. Hummels is essentially a younger Mertesacker. No pace but relies on positioning which only works if you have an opposite type alongside him.

One player can make a big difference. Its also very deflating for players, fans, and the manager to know that they are just a feeder team for Bayern. Bayern don't have to beat them on the pitch, they just rip the heart out of their opponents in the transfer window.

Arsenal and more recently, S'oton seem to have coped with similar circumstances. But i get your point.

Hummels is far superior than Mertesacker regarding attacking passes / opening play. One of the best around if fit imo.

But he took half a year to somewhat recover from World Cup duties - too long but what can you do? Also, Lewandowski was THE focal point in Dortmund's game - so yea, just one player - world class mind you - but a crucial one. And Dortmund can't sell world class and buy it back someplace else. Sahin and Gündogan weren't available either (injured - Sahin, coming back from the dead - Gündogan) so that takes out the complete creative / central midfield. No idea what happened with Kags during his stay in England - but he's a complete mess now. The other world class player, Reus, missing most games due severe injuries takes his toll as well. Now he's back, but lost his form of course.

Throw in a good chunk of players who are out of form or beyond their zenith (sp?) and welcome to hell. :(

I could go on and on - but if they don't get some lucky punches soon, Klopp will have to go.

i recommend looking at Dortmunds own buying policy ;)

Reus: Gladbachs most important player when they bought him
Sokratis ? Werder Bremen's best defender
Immobile ? Seria A top goal scorer and the best of Torino by far.
Ramos ? more or less Herthas insurance policy last year and their best goal scorer... just look how they perform without him at the moment
Aubameyang: Number #2 goal scorer behind Imbrahimovic in the french league when they bought him
Mkhitaryan: set the all time goal record for the ukrainian league before getting bought by Dortmund
Kampl: absolute star player in the Salzburg squad who was key to their current success (109 games, 68 assists and 29 goals), voted player of the year in Austria 2014

Squads like Gladbach,Mainz, Freiburg,Frankfurt can complain about their players getting bought by the big teams ... but Dortmund, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg ? They better keep their mouth shut

(ironically i would rate Schalke youth academy output the best at the moment ... Bayern isn't too bad with providing many young players to the bundesliga top flight either)
