ecuador played bad. Chile was better but not by much, im surprised Chile had a hard time scoring
Chile wins 2-0

Ecuador's defense has a bad reputation at the moment, but they're capable of putting in a good shift. I wouldn't expect them to do much better against the host nation.

USA - Sweden will be very interesting, if Sweden looses today they already are out of the cup due to other results in the group, I read. I don't understand the math, but if they say it ... :)
RE: Norway : Thailand
Oh, and Norway still can't do penalties.
Hm, but free kicks... 1:1 for Germany vs Norway (the two finalists of the Euro 2011).

Also anecdotal stuff: - Rapinoe will turn 40 during the cup! o_O Incredible. (hm, the astonished smiley is quite confusable with the twinkle smiley).
- Australia has two Aborigines in their team.

Armin Veh to be reinstalled as headcoach at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Interesting, also Schalke will take Paderborn's coach (for those that didn't follow: Paderborn came from the second league into the Bundesliga and had a very good start into the season and then at the end had to go back to second league).

Well, those reporters... its Rampone not Rapinoe.

Women? I was surprised, had expected more from Nigeria.

Crazy match between USA and Sweden.

Btw. Columbia beat France 2:0 today (France had won all friendlies recently against the big teams like USA, Germany and Sweden). It must be their bad chance to goal ratio again. (They sometimes have a ratio of like 14 to 1). I didn't see it unfortunately. But given how much a favourite for the title France was considered before the tournament, France did already bad against England with their 1:0 win.

Also really remarkable result from Switzerland 10:1 against Ecuador (even, when considered a weak contender, they already lost 6:0 against Kamerun). Switzerland looks very stable. Switzerland has built a national football academy, seems it quickly pays off. - We'll see how they do against Kamerun. A 0:1 against Japan is also not bad for a newcomer. (Germany, too, is planning a national academy for both men+women in Frankfurt and the people in Frankfurt are against it. A forest and an old horse racing track will have to go. People are also concerned about the money...

PS: Oh and England scored its first goal against Mexico a few minutes ago.

PS: I don't understand FIFA's trikot choice. Why away kids for both, when their home shirts are already different.
Germany-Norway (white-red and they played in red-white)
Brazil-Spain (Yellow-Red and play in blue-white)

Reactions: pachyderm
PS: Can hardly believe it, they said in one stadium when it was 23°C the artificial pitch was around 40-45°C.

PPS: aha, they said it again, it was in Edmonton in the opening game Canada vs China, on the pitch was 49°C (while air was 23°C outside).

Seems like a waste to me. Only clubs in Serie A worth joining are Juve and Roma. Anything else seems like a downgrade.

did it ever cross your mind, that maybe Jackson could turn around AC Milan? i think he could. coming from Porto and going to Milan is an upgrade.

I find it a bit stupid to navigate, I hope the two matches of tomorrow nigh at 1:20 CET will show up at the top selfexplaining. http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/kanaluebersicht/aktuellste/2399600?bc=sts;stt

@ the others, I discovered they have a lot of the matches already played in full lenght ("in voller Länge") , just in case someone would like to watch a match of his countries team, he missed. It is the same link.

PS: Germany's coach said against Thailand she will use a lot of players that have not played so far on many positions. Partly due to two injuries from the first to games, but mainly to get the benchsitters adapt early to the tournament. Interesting decision. I bet she would have rotated the goal keeper too, but the no2 injured herself during the training. Will we see no 3... hm... would be a bit too much cochones and could look arrogant to other teams.
