End result
Germany vs Thalaind 4:0
I just turned in the game 5 minutes ago and have to wonder how Thailand made it through the 1st half with only conceding once
GER just scored twice within 2 mins and is dominating them at will
For some reason Germany placed their shots very unprecisely or directly shot into the arms of the goalkeeper in the first half.
E.g. Maroszan is a real good player, with a very, very good technique (showed less of it in the cup, though) and one wonders why she shoots the ball 50cm over the grass instead of just chipping it Pirlo style over the head or tipping it left to the goalkeeper. She was taken from the pitch in the 2nd half.
There were one or two scenes, in the 2nd half were I wasn't sure, if the defense just didn't bother or if it were mistakes (passing close to the attacker). If you saw the second half you probably have seen/remember these situations.
(Edit: in all 3 matches together GER had 92 chances and made 15 goals. Maybe that is the reason...

)
There were also 7 new players on the pitch, but that can't be the reason, because Germany has a deep squad this cup (even with the young(st)ers that were nominated for the injured that stayed home, some of them had already played the Euro-13 and the Algarve-Cup, though not in this combination).
Side note:
Btw. I now understood why Bayern is getting all the Freiburg players (Freiburg was no 7 in the women's league), now that all present and former Freiburg players were on the pitch I saw the connection. They make up a line of 4 players from the 6 position up to wing and the front of the box. I guess it was cheaper getting them now as they're young, than taking such a line out of the top teams (if they would have let them go anyway). I don't know what Bayerns amount of money is they can spend on the women's team and what they are willing to invest, but it seems that they come to see that you can make money with women's football or did they finally decide theyjust want to be the best in both divisions. The spanish striker they bought costed 19.900/month when she went to Sweden, I doubt that the price for her has fallen, when they bought her from Frankfurt. An average player in the Swedish and German womens league gets 3000,-EUR per month.
Also interesting
Norway went 3:1 against Ivory Coast (GER had beaten Ivory coast 10:0, given that Norway-GER ended 1:1, this makes one wonder, on the other hand, NOR doesn't have as good techniques as GER and they come over robustness (in my view) - I don't find their playing looks really good, though their results speak in their favour.
