I hope you're not including Spurs in this rant? We actually have a lower net spend than Leicester and most others. Also with our strict wage structure its amazing that we are competing at at all :)

Net spend can be a very deceiving statistic. Spurs have avoided operating at big losses, it's true, but they have also put up a lot of capital over the years - as the saying goes, you have to spend money to make money. Spurs are pretty wealthy. Still, they are not in the same class of financial might as the biggest offenders.

I'm sure most Spurs fans are pretty cheesed off by Leicester's success and I don't blame them - they have played a more attractive style of football than Leicester and if it weren't for the losses to Newcastle and Leicester earlier in the season they'd be favorites to win the title.

The league is not strictly "fair" in any sense of the word. My enthusiasm for Leicester derives from their making the fat cats look bad, not from any belief in their moral or tactical purity.

If Spurs win it I will be a little disappointed for the narrative of a Leicester league title failing to pan out, but Spurs would be worthy champions nevertheless - and who knows when they'll get another chance like this one.

EDIT: Not a good result for Liverpool at Villareal, but not a terrible one either. Penalties or at least extra time look pretty likely.

only if you can retain your players.

your strict wage structure is 120 million pounds a year compared to 48 million of Leicester, and you did your pissing away of money during the Bale days, you couldnt keep that up, stop distorting the truth what leicester have done is amazing what you have done not so much.

Haha. ok mate. Sounding like a typical scouse. Well done :)

sorry you have failed, try again or if you have the balls PM me your best insult, trust me when I say i would welcome it.
I go to football forums if I'm looking for that sort of 'banter', Ironduke. Perhaps you, with your 'MATE', should consider doing the same thing to lower your aggression levels. MacRumors isn't the place for it.

I really hoped Stoke would see out that win...I don't want to see Sunderland (or Big Sam) back in the Prem next season...but it looks like Norwich just don't have enough left in the tank.

More grit and determination from Leicester City.

They managed to salvage a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, a valuable result, showing that they can come from behind (United scored first), can hold their nerve, and can stay firm and retain their shape - especially when down to ten men - as Danny Drinkwater was sent off in the dying minutes of the game.

Leicester might not have had many injuries over the course of the season, but now - as the season draws to a close, they are shedding players almost weekly as red cards are flashed.

First, Jamie Vardy - who was sent off two weeks ago (although he should be returning to duty next week, having served his two match ban), and now, Danny Drinkwater, who will certainly miss next week's match as a result of receiving a red card today.

The Leicester/United game was really entertaining!

A bit inconsistent from the ref, who was lenient in the first half, but found his wallet in the second.

Leicester were good in the second half, though; they started poorly, showing some nerves for the first few minutes until they settled. In fact, this was the first time I have ever seen the tension of the 'big occasion' get to them - even ever so slightly.

However, they settled well, found themselves, fought back and held on grimly, with grit and determination. Worthy champions. Holding Manchester United to a draw at Old Trafford, when, they, too, have something to fight for (a Champions league place) is no mean achievement.

And, on that matter, a costly match for Manchester United. Fourth place - and a place in the Champions League - is by no means guaranteed any longer.

Good grief.

The Manchester City versus Southampton match ended in an extraordinary defeat - of 4-2 - for Manchester City.

A season of black eyes and bloodied noses for the supposed titans of the Premiership.

This is always a strange part of the season - some teams have nothing to play for, others are distracted by Europe and still others are desperate for points to grab a CL spot, win the league or avoid relegation.

The Liverpool match was a pointless affair, though Swansea will be happy with it. Man Utd need to push hard for any chance at fourth and Man City did them a huge favor by losing badly.
