Sigh of relief.

Arsenal equalise and are now ahead of Swansea by two goals to one.

But, they don't make it easy for themselves.

Or, for their suffering supporters.......

Disappointed that Kane was not available to play today.

A. I love the Crew and want them to stay in COL. They are my MLS side. Even if we get a team here in Mid TN they will still be my team.

B. You should find a way to watch the match cos we got our asses kicked. Steffen was impressive but the goal keeper gods were clearly on our side during regulation. The Crew could have very easily lost that one 3-0 save for the fickleness of rounded goal posts, or at best lost 3-2. We hit the post once and had one called back, errantly, for being offside.

C. We get one more home playoff game... phew.

I saw the match - Atlanta did hit the bar a couple times, but Guzan also made a couple good saves and CBus had the winning goal cleared off the line at the end of regulation in addition to the incorrect offside call that Robbed us of a goal. Atlanta might have slightly shaded the play during the match in terms of chances, but this was a perfect introduction to the playoff system for them. Nothing you do during the season counts towards winning knockout games. Hitting the bar doesn't count either. Columbus played well, and earned the win.

...and don't forget they were on a plastic pitch.

Steffen was amazing. If he keeps playing like that I expect to see him in a future USA squad, perhaps as the No. 1 .

Columbus 4-1 NYCFC

Columbus with a big home win in leg 1 of their playoff tie with NYCFC. The dream lives on for another week.

"Wantaway" owner Anthony Precourt attended the game with fans attending the game claiming they were prevented from entering the stadium till the last minute and the Club claiming an attendance of around 14k, lower than what pictures of the crowds appear to show. More skullduggery from Precourt?

To keep the league interesting really need an Arsenal win, but I suspect Man City will be too much for them.

Arsenal are one of these infuriating teams that can play above themselves - annihilating a more skilled, stronger, and better resourced opponent on an unexpected occasion - (which makes you realise just what they can be capable of, on a good day), and then will proceed to fold, and collapse completely, with a brittle whimper, and a stunning lack of spine, against a team that others may dub "mediocre".

And 4-1 it finished to Liverpool.

Liverpool climb to just behind Chelsea and Arsenal, lying equal to them on points, while West Ham hover just above the relegation zone.

No need to point it out!

Just missed the highlights on MOTD as a friend called. Looks like Billic is getting sacked and Moyes is coming in.
Not sure that's the right appointment.
